A golden light appeared. Alduin's face went from despair to a serene kind of stare. He sighed.
"It's time, my love." He looks at me. I press my head against his.
"It's okay, Alduin. No matter what, we'll find each other again." I thought I was dead when Miraak set me on fire. Instead mortal Lia was replaced by Monvahkrii, the Aedra of creation and renewal.
"I love you." He says to me in the most tender voice he can manage. He flies up and lets down the meteor shout.
"What are you doing?" Miraak looked confused.
"It's the end of the kalpa. And of you, of course." I grin at him. I shout Dragonrend at him. He shouts in pain and I bathe him in flames. He tries to heal but he can't. I fly to him, grabbing him by the neck, dislodging his head from the base of his spine. I shout Dragonrend again and set him ablaze. He falls down as his body begins to crumble and turn to ash.
Alduin is now about the size of Nirn and there's dark swirls everywhere. The world starts to crumble and everything turns dark. I can only see darkness after that. Suddenly, everything turns white and we're greeted by Akatosh. Alduin and I are now in human forms, except instead of the regular clothes we had on, we had splendid clothing. Alduin wore armor that resembled his scales and I was wearing a white and gold gown with elaborate embroidery and I had strings of bead forming a crown on my head. "The kalpa has ended. Alduin has ended the last Kalpa. The Daedra did not tie themselves to Nirn the way that the Aedra did, so they are still around." Akatosh spoke. I noticed them in the background. "We welcome you, Monvahkrii, to godhood."
I smiled, feeling proud of myself. I would have never imagined that I, out of all people, would become a goddess.
"So what now?" I asked Akatosh. Yes, I was a goddess with Alduin by my side but I still missed my friends and my family.
"As the creator goddess, you can make the world as you wish." Akatosh spoke. "Whenever you wish. But for now....you two must rest."
What did he mean? He gave a whispered shout and my body felt tired. I felt myself land on the ground, too exhausted to fight the urge to sleep.

Alduin awoke in a white plane. He couldn't remember why he was here. Images filled his head but he couldn't quite make out what it was he was seeing.
"Father?" He asked as a golden dovah approached him. "Is it time?"
"No, my son. Your last task was completed." Akatosh told him. "You will not have to do anything for millenia."
Alduin sighed, feeling bored out of his mind. He felt like something was missing but he couldn't remember what was missing.
"What now?" Alduin asked his father.
"I will send you to Nirn to await your time. Spend your time wisely." Akatosh spoke to him. Alduin felt extremely heavy for a moment before he opened his eyes. He was in a beautiful place, with mountain peaks in the distance and in a meadow full of mountain flowers and dragon's tongue. He slowly opened his wings out and yawned.
Alduin looked down to see various humans staring at him, holding spears and talking to each other. They saw him for what he was- a dragon and a god. He lowered his head. He noticed there was a dead elk beside them. They were eating it raw. Pathetic. He chuckled and slightly turned his head, blowing Fire Breath in a pile of sticks. The fire started and the humans ran to it, looking in awe at it. One tried to reach out to the flame to touch it but he shook his head.
Alduin grabbed the dead elk with his teeth and dropped it on the flame. When it looked cooked enough, he tossed it back to the humans. One tried to touch the hot carcass but Alduin nudged him away. After a while, one was brave enough to tear a piece of flesh from the deer and try it. The human proceeded to bow to him. Alduin grinned at her, feeling as if he had done something.
These puny mortals would need a lot more help to advance, so maybe he could do that. But he couldn't help but to think something was missing. He just couldn't tell what. Then he saw a white and gold dragon flying above. His heart skipped a beat. For some reason, he felt like he knew the dragon. He spread his wings and started to fly.
Alduin didn't want to lose sight of the dragon. Maybe this would be a new beginning for him.
