It was around two or three a.m. when the door busted down.

“Aemma! Come out, you bitch, we have plenty to talk about!” Shit. That girl in my dream had found out where we lived. I cursed silently and got up. We got out of the rooms. Serena had a spell on her hands, Bryan had a war hammer, Lydia had a battle ax and of course, I had Auriel’s bow on me. Paarthurnax and Odahviing had left to speak to their father.

“Oh, look at all of you, you’re adorable.” The girl spoke. I think Alduin said her name was Qaarnahrin or something. Alduin was behind us. There were weird tentacle monster things with her. “Kill all of them but bring the dragon and the Aedra back.” Serana used a lightning bolt attack spell on the monster while Lydia and Bryan were hacking the other two into pieces. Lydia got thrown into the kitchen and Bryan got slammed into the wall. Serana used a necromancy spell to bring the one she brought back to life.

I was shooting them with arrows. Qaanahrin shouted a very powerful Unrelenting Force shout, throwing us through various walls. I saw people running out of their apartments. Serana cast a spell to make the ground bouncy for us and Alduin and I used the Become Ethereal shout.

“You’re brighter than you look!” Qaanahrin simply jumped from the hole on the side of the building, denting the grass.

“Of course, we are.” I responded to her, aiming a bow right at me. She used a teleportation spell and stabbed me right in the gut, causing me to shoot the arrow at the building. Aw, hell. I rendered people homeless and ourselves by extension. I fell on my knees.

“Lia!” Alduin shouted. He looked at Qahnaarin and shouted that Fire shout at her. Serana and Lydia looked at him funny. Serana threw a Healing Hands spell in my direction. The wound was not closing.

“You bastard!” She shrieked and she summoned a flame atronach to fight him.

I coughed up blood and I was feeling very dizzy. Surprisingly there wasn’t a huge pool of blood. Maybe the healing hands spell did something.

“Lia, hold on, I’m trying to figure out what spell to use.” Serana looked nervous. Lydia was trying to fight the monsters away with Bryan was helping Alduin. Finally the atronach exploded and Serana created a ward over us.

I noticed that the police were pulling up. My vision was getting blurry and I could feel blood seeping from the wound. Serana was trying her hardest to heal me. Qahnaarin looked at us, angry. She started to attack them and she ran towards Alduin with a sword. He shouted the Disarm Shout and managed to break her mask in one punch. She cursed, trying to hold it together. She looked like a younger and skinnier version of me. There was blood coming from her nose and cuts on her face.

“You still hate me for kicking your ass.” She spoke. “Back when I was Severine.”

“You have no idea.” Alduin shouted something at her. I had never heard that shout before. She falls over, coughing up blood. She shouts, with some kind of glowing and colorful armor covering her body. I grab the bloody Auriel’s bow and manage to reach for an arrow, my grip becoming harder to keep. I pull the string and manage to use the last of my strength on that.

Qahnaarin shrieked as she was lit aflame.

“Oh, you bitch!” She was loading a spell in her hands. Alduin stood in front of a collapsed Lia, who was still holding the bow. Serana was beside him. A portal appeared behind her and Miraak emerged. He could hear a spell charging on Serana’s hands. Miraak simply grabbed Qahnaarin and vanished.

Lydia had picked up Lia from the ground. She was pale and had very soft breaths. Alduin wished he could have turned into a dragon and killed those two when he had a chance. Instead he was stuck in this form with Lia’s life on the line. He used a Healing shout on Lia to try to stop the poison from spreading. She would need a cure poison potion or something to fully remove it from her body.

“Alduin?” Lia asked, eyes glazed.

“Yes?” He asked, his voice becoming way too soft for his own comfort.

“Thank you.” Lia’s head rolled over. Alduin grabbed her wrist. She was still alive. Thank Akatosh. Serana cast a teleportation spell and they were inside of an ancient castle.

“Thankfully, we still have this place to hide at.” Serana spoke. “And there’s a lab downstairs if anyone wants to look for the potion.” Lydia volunteered. Serana and Bryan laid Lia down on a bench. Alduin did not like seeing her like this, so weak and frail. And as much as he dreaded admitting it, he did not want Lia to die.
