Come on... there's literally a signature right here... where are you?

Damia let out the twentieth long sigh within the past ten minutes, occasionally checking the spot where he detected Kory's presence, as if he would just magically appear there like some horned wizard. This couldn't be right; even if his guardian senses were slightly off, his target at the very least would have walked into the area from any direction by now. He could literally sense the redhead's presence - he had been sensing it in that exact spot for the past quarter of an hour! And there were still no signs of him!

Where was he??!

The Angel adjusted his bow for the umpteenth time. He had really been counting on this encounter, after the earful he had received from Lady Impa when he had given his report the day before. Long story short, the court definitely wasn't impressed by his first day on the job.

Of course, he had tried to defend himself by bringing up the points Link, and regrettably Y/N too had made. Like, how he was a rookie, and this mission was really too big for them to expect positive results straight away. How he hadn't been given enough information on the matter. And of course, how they failed to mention that Demons could legally travel to the human world. All things that if he had known, he would have made far less of an ass of himself.

Did they take what he said into consideration? Of course, they weren't so proud as to brush him off completely. Did he get a swat upside the head for delivering his points with an 'attitude'?

You better believe it. And it freaking hurt!

The good news is, they were generous enough to give Damia more of the information he required for his mission... The bad news however...

That said information came in the form of books. Long, thick, dusty old books. Well, they weren't really dusty - I mean they were in Heaven, but they were still long, thick and old....

And he had to read them, because Link was there breathing down his neck to make sure he got the information in his head. Not before an annoying sum of 'I told you so's, of course.

Damia bet he wasn't actually doing it for the studying, rather to get him back for giving him a noogie, scaring him, tackling him, further scaring him with news about the mission, and then using his house as a home base as he got ready. The blonde's sh*t eating grin practically bore into the back of Damia's head during those goddess awful hours of reading.

Though... he supposed it did get the job done. He did know more now than he did when he first landed in the human world.

That doesn't change the fact his best friend was a butt about it, though! No amount of good that came out of the torment would change that!

He groaned and swept his hair from his eyes. He guessed he shouldn't really be complaining... Knighthood wasn't supposed to be easy, and this was just a test. He'd just have to get used to the hardships...

And he will. Just as soon as that blasted demon would show his stupid freckled face!!!

Unbeknownst to him though, was that there was a Demon fairly close to him. But it seemed like Kory's aura was so strong, it almost completely took his attention off of hers.

Y/N pursed her lips as she watched the boy from the shade of a large tree, debating with herself on when it would be a good time to go up to him. If her mission was the same as it was yesterday, she would have left him to his business a while ago...

However, plans had been altered.

After her long, painful and emotionally degrading meeting with Hell's monarch, he had sent her off with new orders. 'Team up with the boy. Make him a valuable asset to your assignment.' he said, as if it was as easy as that. As if Damia didn't have a one track mind - at least it seemed that way during their first meeting.
