My main concern this whole time was reuniting myself with Link, and maybe have a talk about what had gone wrong during the first part of our quest. I honestly thought it would be as simple as that, and then we would go back to fighting Ganon's reign.

But no, unfortunately things aren't ever as simple as that.

Link wanted answers. I could feel his intense and expecting gaze on me as Pan trotted down the path, while I remained silent and unmoving. At one point, his hand had removed itself from my waist and reached for my shoulder, probably curious to see how my 'injury' wasn't causing me any agonising strain. But of course I slapped it away, commenting on how inappropriate and impatient he was being. I told him I would explain everything once we got to the stable...

But truth be told, I was just buying time.

I had kept this moment in my head the moment I left Zora's Domain, thinking about what to say to him. Thinking about how to apologise for my behaviour and reluctance, and how to tell him I would put in more of an effort... However, the moment I saw him again... I won't lie, I wanted to slap him. That large monster could've crushed him had I not been there, the very thought scared me more than I cared to admit. If he left me behind just to get himself killed...

And also, I don't want to sound like I was expecting one, but he didn't even say thank you...

The emotions in my mind were swirling, so much I couldn't even grasp what I was feeling. And I handled that with the only way I knew how... anger.

So I'm sure you wouldn't be surprised to hear that the first thing I did when we got to Rito Stable, was hop off Pan and attempt to ditch.

But in the middle of my getaway, a gloved hand caught my wrist.

Crap...

"No you don't," Link said lowly as he pulled me back to face him, keeping a firm hold on my wrist as our eyes met. His cerulean orbs narrowed as he spoke "I meant what I said; I want an explanation. Why are you here, and how is it that you're supposedly miraculously healed?"

I scoffed "I apologise for appearing at the right time and saving your life, I didn't know you were hoping for a gory and agonising death."

"That's not what I— as grateful as I am for that, you shouldn't be here." He stated, as calmly as he could "You were supposed to stay with Sidon, where you would be safe. What the hell are you gonna do now?"

"Um, what I was transported here for?" I shook myself from his grasp and crossed my arms "Did you seriously in your right mind expect me to sit and do nothing?"

"That was what I hoped for, yes!"

"Well sorry to burst your bubble, but I don't roll that way." I turned to leave, but Link followed.

"That still doesn't explain your shoulder—"

"This is Hyrule, dammit!" I snapped "There's magic in every crack of this place, I just happened to make a friend that knew some!"

Link frowned "And did you find that friend before or after you left the Domain?"

"...Well—"

"Knew it!"

"Well excuse me for not being able to sit still! Not everyone falls into comas when they get hurt, like you did!"

"Oh so now we're going down that road!" He growled "Well I'm sorry for leaving you, the one who has been nothing but bratty to me and this mission, to actually complete it since I'm seemingly the only one that cares about it!"
