Y/N was waiting for Harry outside the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom; Lupin had wanted a word with him.

'Lupin said he'd give me lessons to get rid of the dementors like he did on the train,' Harry told Y/N excitedly when he finally left the classroom.

'Really? That's awesome,' she said, walking to the Great Hall for lunch. 'Hey, I'd love anti-dementor lessons too... D'you think he'd let me do them with you?'

'You can ask him,' said Harry, then he lowered his voice and said more seriously. 'I forgot to tell you, I saw the Grim, at the Quidditch match, right before I fell off my broom.'

Y/N's eyes widened. The Grim? She remembered the black dog on the topmost row the day of the Quidditch match against Hufflepuff. That was the Grim?

'I-' Y/N stopped in her tracks.

'What?' Harry stopped too, looking at her.

'I... That was the Grim?' she asked hesitantly.

'I think so... Why?'

'Well- Well, it's just-' Y/N stuttered. 'I thought it was a regular dog... And- well, I tried to pet it and it ran off-'

Harry stared at her for a moment then let out a laugh.

'You- you pet the Grim?'

'Well, it can't have been the Grim if I could pet it!' said Y/N defensively. 'It ran away as soon as I touched it. I mean, the Grim isn't a real, physical creature, is it?'

Harry continued laughing about it on the way to the Great Hall, and when Ron and Hermione asked what was so funny as Harry and Y/N sat down, he just shook his head and grinned at Y/N, who rolled her eyes at him, smiling.

'Did you two snog or what-' said Ron, and Harry choked on his pumpkin juice, going violently red.

'I- NO-' Y/N blurted, blushing furiously and hitting Ron's head with a baguette.

Hermione patted Harry's back and smirked at Y/N behind his head. She glared back at her, then shook her head, still blushing.

The next Hogsmeade trip was to be on the last weekend of the term. Y/N, Ron, and Hermione were saying goodbye to Harry in the Entrance Hall, wrapped in cloaks and scarves.

'You're sure you'll be alright on your own? I can stay, I don't mind,' Y/N said to Harry.

'No, you go ahead,' he said. 'I'll be fine.'

'Alright,' said Y/N, ruffling his hair.

'We'll see you later, Harry,' said Ron and Hermione.

What Y/N, Ron and Hermione didn't know, was that Harry was not going to stay in the castle. He had a plan to sneak into Hogsmeade...

The trio left and walked up the usual path to the Hogsmeade village. As they were walking, Y/N pulled Hermione aside.

'What?' she said.

'I want to know what that golden necklace is you wear,' said Y/N. 'You know, the one with the hourgla-'

'Shhh!' hushed Hermione, looking around. Ron was looking at them suspiciously. Y/N simply smiled at him.

'Go on, what is it?' Y/N asked, turning back to Hermione.

'I'll tell you later-'

'Orrr you can tell me now,' Y/N grinned.
