'Took them a while, don't you think?' said Ginny, scanning the front page of the Daily Prophet.
They were in the hospital wing, the day after the battle in the Department of Mysteries.
Harry was sitting next to Y/N on her bed and they were both listening to Ginny read the front page of the newspaper. Madam Pomfrey had instructed that Y/N rest for a day after having endured the Cruciatus curse from Bellatrix Lestrange. Thankfully, there were no lasting effects from the curse.
After the whole ordeal, Y/N slept for at least fourteen hours consecutively. Her Ignismagicae had stripped her of almost all her energy, not to mention having survived being tortured for long minutes by Bellatrix Lestrange.
Parvati, Lavender, Dean and Seamus had dropped in to visit her and the others, though she didn't realise it since she was out cold. Harry refused to leave Y/N's side, even at night. Eventually, Madam Pomfrey gave up on trying to persuade him to leave.
Hermione was curled up at the foot of Ron's bed; Neville was in a chair between the beds; and Luna, who had dropped in to visit, was sitting on the side of Ginny's bed.
'I really don't get why they were being so stubborn about it,' said Y/N darkly. 'I mean, didn't they at least think it was fishy that I came back with Harry from the maze last year?'
'The Ministry's really thick,' said Ron, helping himself to a Chocolate Frog from the immense pile on the bedside cabinet. There were still deep welts on his forearms where the brain's tentacles had wrapped around him.
'What's been happening in the school, then?' said Y/N.
'Well, Flitwick's got rid of Fred and George's swamp,' said Ginny, 'he did it in about three seconds. But he left a tiny patch under the window and he's roped it off-'
'Why?' said Hermione, looking startled.
'Oh, he just says it was a really good bit of magic,' said Ginny, shrugging.
'I think he left it as a monument to Fred and George,' said Ron, through a mouthful of chocolate. 'They sent me all these, you know,' he told them, pointing at the small mountain of Frogs beside him. 'Must be doing all right out of that joke shop, eh?'
'We need to visit it during the summer,' said Y/N, grabbing a Chocolate Frog and unwrapping it. 'See what kind of stuff they invented that they didn't tell us about.'
'Definitely,' said Ginny.
'So, has all the trouble stopped now Dumbledore's back?' Hermione asked.
'Yes,' said Neville, 'everything's settled right back to normal.'
'I s'pose Filch is happy, is he?' asked Ron.
'Not at all,' said Ginny. 'He's really, really miserable, actually...'
