Y/N woke up early the next day, which was saying something since she usually slept in on Saturdays. When she went down to the Entrance Hall with Harry, Ron and Hermione, it was to find several students milling around the Goblet of Fire, examining it closely.
'Anyone put their name in yet?' Ron asked a third-year Ravenclaw girl eagerly.
'All the Durmstrang lot,' she replied, her voice floaty. 'But I haven't seen anyone from Hogwarts yet.'
'Bet some of them put their names in last night after we'd all gone to bed,' said Harry thoughtfully. 'It's what I would've done, if it had been me...'
'You didn't though, did you?' Y/N asked.
'Nope, I told you, I want a quiet year...'
The Ravenclaw girl was looking at them with an odd expression on her face. Then she said, 'Did you know the Durmstrang Headmaster has an army of Blubbering Blimpies?'
The quartet looked at each other in confusion.
'Sorry, what?' Hermione began, but she was cut off by a sudden round of applause.
Y/N turned around to see Fred, George and Lee hurrying toward the Goblet, looking extremely excited.
'Just taken it,' Fred said in a triumphant voice to Y/N, Harry, Ron and Hermione.
'What?' said Ron.
'The Ageing Potion, dunghead,' said Fred.
'One drop each,' said George, rubbing his hands together with glee. 'We only need to be a few months older.'
'It's not going to work,' said Hermione in a lofty voice.
Fred and George raised their eyebrows at Hermione.
'Oh yeah? Why is that, Granger?' said Fred.
'Dumbledore drew the Age Line himself,' said Hermione, as though it settled the matter.
'So?' said George.
'So,' Hermione huffed, 'a genius like Dumbledore couldn't possibly be fooled by a dodge as pathetically dim-witted as an Ageing Potion!'
'But that's why it's so brilliant,' said Fred with a grin.
'Because it's so pathetically dim-witted!' said George.
'Ready?' said Fred to his twin and Lee, quivering with excitement.
Fred took a deep breath then leapt over the Age Line. When nothing happened, George leapt in after him, letting out a shout of triumph, and everyone in the Hall seemed to be buzzing with excitement.
'Watch this - ' said Y/N to Hermione, a grin spreading on her face. 'Three... two... one-'
As soon as the word 'one' left Y/N's mouth, there was a loud sizzling sound, and both twins were hurled out of the silver circle, landing in a heap a few feet away. And to add insult to injury, there was a loud popping noise, and both of them sprouted identical, long white beards and their hair turned white.
