"This could be the end of everything
So why don't we go somewhere only we know?"

'Lumos!' shouted Y/N.

'Incendio! Incendio!'

'Lumos Maxima!'

But nothing could penetrate the darkness. Y/N heard rushing footsteps, at least a dozen pairs of them.

'Stupe-'

'No!' came Adrien's voice, cutting across Ron. 'Don't, you could hit one of us!'

'Let's get out of here!' shouted Y/N.

They groped their way out of the dark corridor, feeling their way against the wall and tapestry. People were still rushing past them as they tried to find their way out of the corridor. 

They finally reached a corridor that was light, coughing slightly due to the amount of powder in the other corridor. 

It was deserted; the Death Eaters must have already gone down. 

'Come on, we need to find them!' shouted Y/N, and they dashed off down the stairs. 

All Y/N had in mind was catching up with her twin, Leonora. What were they doing here with the other Death Eaters? 

They were down two floors when Y/N ran straight into a tall, shabby somebody. She retreated several paces.

'Remus!' she gasped.

'Y/N, what's going on?' asked Remus urgently, his eyes moving from Y/N, to Ron, to Ginny, and finally to Adrien. 

Someone with bright purple hair came running around the corner, stopping right next to Remus. 

'What's happened?' asked Tonks.

'Death Eaters,' said Y/N. 'Death Eaters in the castle! Malfoy brought them in through the Room of Requirement just now and we lost them-'

'Where did they go? In which direction?' Remus asked, gripping his wand tightly.

'We don't know,' said Ron. 'Malfoy used that Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder and everything went dark-'

'We heard them running off but by the time we found a corridor that was light, they'd gone,' said Ginny, her ponytail slightly dishevelled. 

'Well, we haven't seen anyone go down here except you lot,' said Tonks quickly. 'They must still be upstairs.'

'Bill,' called Remus loudly. 'This way!'

Footsteps sounded from a distant corridor and Bill Weasley came into view, panting slightly.

'What's happening?' he said, his eyes roving over the group and landing on his brother and sister. 'Ron, Ginny-?'

'Death Eaters, William,' said Remus shortly, and Bill's face hardened.

Bill, Remus and Tonks took off up the moving staircase and Y/N, Adrien, Ginny and Ron followed them, all with their wands out and ready to strike. 

They reached the seventh floor within minutes and they heard a stampede a few corridors away. They followed the sound and found the Death Eaters heading in the direction of the Astronomy Tower. 

'Stupefy!' shouted Ginny, and the Death Eater closest let out a wail and toppled over.

The others turned around. In seconds, a full-blown fight broke out, spells flying from each side, clashing and ricocheting all over the place. Malfoy slithered away from the group and ran off in the direction of the Astronomy Tower.
