It was like planning to break into the Ministry all over again. They remained shut in the smallest bedroom of the house for hours at a time, working on a plan. Slowly, the days stretched into weeks. There was problem after problem to overcome, not least of which was that their store of Polyjuice Potion was greatly depleted.

'There's really only enough left for one of us,' said Hermione, tilting the thick mud-like Potion against the lamplight.

And there was also the fact that Y/N still had no wand to use. She was not sure her Ignismagicae and minimal knowledge of wandless magic would be enough for the trip. She still had not gotten around to asking Leonora for hers, mainly because she thought her twin would not be so generous.

The other inhabitants of Shell Cottage could hardly fail to notice that something was going on now that Y/N, Harry, Ron and Hermione only emerged for mealtimes.

Nobody asked questions, until one evening, when Y/N was returning to the cupboard-like room after a hearty meal, Leonora cornered her in the hallway.

'All right, spit it out, what are you and your friends up to?'

'Er... Nothing,' said Y/N unconvincingly. 'Just hanging out-'

'You four have been shut up in that room with the goblin all day and night,' said Leonora. 'We never see you anymore. So, tell me, what are you up to?'

Y/N pursed her lips and shook her head. 'Can't tell you.'

'Why not?'

'I told you,' said Y/N, exasperated, 'it's a secret. We're not supposed to tell anyone-'

'So you'd rather let a goblin in on your plans than your sister?' asked Leonora, unimpressed.

'He doesn't know everything, he's just helping us.'

'Well, then, I don't see why I couldn't help, too,' said Leonora.

Y/N did not say anything to that, examining Leonora's expression.

'There is a way you could... You know how the Snatchers took our wands?'

'Yes...'

'Well, Harry, Ron and Hermione have one each,' said Y/N. 'But-'

'-you don't,' Leonora finished.

'Exactly, and-'

'You want mine?'

There was a short silence, then Y/N nodded slowly.

'I thought, since you could just do wandless magic-'

'I'm not giving it to you,' said Leonora flatly. Y/N blinked.

'Why not?'

'Unless you let me in on what you're up to,' said Leonora, crossing her arms.

'Leo, I can't-'

'Then no wand.'

Y/N narrowed her eyes and crossed her arms across her chest as well. She needed that wand. But she did not want anyone else in on their plan; Griphook was enough. The others would certainly not be welcome to Leonora knowing, either. Harry could disarm her if need be, but Y/N did not want any conflicts between them.

The silence stretched on for minutes, until Y/N sighed and dropped her arms to her sides.

'Fine,' she muttered. 'Fine, but don't tell anyone else.'

A smirk tugged at Leonora's lips and Y/N began regretting agreeing.

'You have my word,' said Leonora.
