With Luni gone to defend the rest of the kingdom, it was up to me and Kari to finally put a stop to one last murderer. Kari was indeed angry from an obvious perspective, but at the same time her resolve was hardened.
As Maoi looked down on me, and Kari, I was ready for whatever he was gonna throw at us. "I don't mean anymore harm. If you hand over the irisv pond, your lives can be spared from my lightning." Maoi spoke of surrender.
I peered into his black storm centered eyes, clearly showing defiance without even trying to say it. "I'll have you know..." Kari rose from the water. "I don't surrender to anyone." Kari started to absorb the water, but didn't grow in size.
Subsequently, Kari dashed at the lightning dragonblood. As crazy as it sounded, a huge Tsunami was also backing her up on the opposite side, but it was coming super slowly.
Once they clashed, water and lightning was spreading across the area. In order to avoid such a shock, I put up a cold wind barrier right in front of me, and took it down once they started fighting in the sky.
I didn't want her to fight him all alone, so I used the ice I had already made from Kari's attack to launch multiple icy projectiles at Maoi. Once I got the chance, I rode on one of them... just act cool.
Maoi had the lightning clouds above us all to back him up and strike the projectiles. That still didn't stop me from sucker punching him while he was busy throwing hands at Kari. He staggered for a moment, but tried to counter.
He missed the first time, but the next I ended up blocking when Kari kicked him in his neck. Instead, all she got was a shock in return. That's when we started ganging up on him. Back and forth, we would be kicking and punching him.
But almost every move we made, he ended up countering. Funny to add, but it looks like he wasn't feeling that much pain either. It looked like he was tanking it. However, that didn't look like it would matter to me.
Despite my ice projectiles getting constantly struck down, Kari's tsunami was closing in quicker. I didn't want him to get away, so I used whatever ice I could find on the water to shoot a big ice wall at him.
It looked like he was gonna be cornered, but all of a damn sudden... he started smiling. His body was sparking with black and green electricity. "I wanna apologize for the happy ending." Maoi shocked everything around him.
That included me, and Kari who were at point blank range. Yet somehow by instinct, I enclosed myself in highly compressed wind to lessen the shock. I was knocked back for sure, but the burns I sustained were minimal and easily faded.
I could say the same for Kari though. As she fell into the water in liquid pieces, I saw her start to turn back to original form. But before that, it seemed that her power still remained since she had put herself back together.
The ocean was her mercy, and it continued to be as she sunk deeper and deeper towards her kingdom. I was on the other hand, stuck. I stood on top of the water once more as I stared at Maoi's sudden increase in power.
"Heheh, so you're still alive." Maoi clapped normally. "Then let's hope you can try to keep the pond out of my reach!" Maoi thunder clapped. With power surging throughout his body, he hastened his approach upon me.
Desperate for a solution, I didn't do anything stupid, nor anything smart. I let myself get carried away into element that was the air, and covered my skin with frost.
By the time he got closer, I was quick enough to do a cross punch on him. His trajectory redirected for a moment, but he came back at me ready for more. He tried punch, but I dodged it. Did it again, but I caught it.
When he head butted me, we actually did it to each other. The wind around us raged as we moved around of the sea in ground breaking speeds. Whenever one of us punched, the other uppercutted.
If one of us were thrown, the other spin kicked. And the cycle went on and on and on and on. We had been fighting for god knows how long, but the longer we fought, the hostile the air and sea became towards one another.
As I exerted more glacier based techniques into my attacks, I couldn't help but noticed that he would get a little bit slower. Therefore, when he attempted to touch my face and electrocute me, I took to the sky immediately.
Instead of just using borrowed ice and augmenting just my own body with snow, I had a better idea. I aimed my hand towards the watery surface, and blasted a beam of frost.
Once it touched the water, an enormous amount of water was immediately frozen over. Maoi was quick to jump up, and throw multiple daggers of lightning at my face. Luckily, I dodged them all in the nick of time.
Since I did what I needed to do, I dived back down and laid my hand on the brand new icy ground. Seconds later, I turned the sheet of ice into a forest of ice. More accustomed to this environment, I attacked him from all sides.
He was lightning fast so he caught nearly all of my physical attacks and attempts, but I wasn't trying to hit him. I wanted to suffocate him of his oxygen. As minutes passed by, I saw that Maoi was having a hard time breathing.
My plan had worked. It finally worked. His oxygen was being drained, in the cold, stormy, ocean surrounded environment that he and I had fault in. But just as I thought, nothing was ever meant to be that easy.
I noticed that there was a roar above me as the lightning suddenly began to slow, and the wind became calm again. Once I looked up at the clouds it was too late.
A dragon made out of pure green lightning was about to strike me where I stood. As Maoi made way for an escape away from the ice that I had created, it looked like the end for me. I didn't know what to do anymore.
Then suddenly, a body of white lightning bursted from below me and split the lightning creation in half before the dragon was able to strike me directly. Instead, it was only the ice around me that was destroyed and broken, lost into the sea.
I was still looking up in utter shock when I saw the light dim a little. Who was that person, and how was he that strong? You would ask. I'd say it was pure talent... from the ten year old named Max Magius.
