"He was an eight key... this whole time?" I was shocked, not literally, by what my eyes had rested upon. "What the heck is an eight key? Now is NOT the time to be thinking about your lost car keys!" Max exclaimed.

"Why would I need car keys I'm a drago-nevermind! I can explain it all to you after we find a way to beat this guy." I stated. "Do you have a plan? If so, I better be in it!" Max huffed. I had an idea, it didn't involve him in the first place.

'You know what you have to do.' Chalk implied. 'How do I know I can really trust you..?' I asked. 'You really don't, but you can try fighting him with fatigued ice if you want.' Chalk said dismissively. I grinder my teeth together, hating how he was right... again.

I swallowed my pride and looked back at Max who was still hugging my shoulders. "Max, I'm going to need to you stand back for a quick moment. Just trust me on this one." I spoke. Max looked reluctant, but then he turned surprised.

"Wait look out!!" Max pointed at Maoi who was shot a dangerous amount of lightning at us from his finger tips, and the sky. And to add on top of that, Maoi didn't even bother to leave his cloud for a chair.

I needed to think fast. I needed to protect Max. I needed to save ourselves. It didn't matter if I didn't trust Chalk anymore, this was a ride or die moment. And I chose to ride the metaphorical ice cold pony that lead towards the path of life.

I felt my body turn cold. I felt the ice running you through my veins. I was able to feel nothing but my cold numb body... well, I hade one emotion. It was bitterness. I felt pure and utter bitterness. Once the lightning struck me, a cold blizzard surrounded me and Max.

I was able to feel a slight sting, but once the light cleared, my vision showed something else. The lightning from above, and the one shot from Maoi were frozen over quickly. The static shock became enclosed in thick ice.

I didn't even know that was a possibility until then, but that was a tool that I knew would come in handy. I knew that Max was protected. I had put up a small and thick field of wind around his body to shield him from the cold.

Despite that, I could tell that him and Maoi were surprised to see me in this form. Noticing a few minor differences though, my hands turned gray and my fingertips were black. Same for my legs and toes. I looked in the water and saw that my horns were black too.

With new powers... came a new appearance I had guessed. "Max. You wanna help right?" I asked him blandly. Max nodded hesitantly, but surely. "I'm going to teach you how to go into Drake form."

I saw Max's eyes light up as Maoi raised his eyebrows in confusion. "Let your emotions leave your body. Overflow them with nothing but instincts. Succumb to your primal urges, and manifest it into your body." I taught.

Max hovered over the water and meditated on it. "Now while you do that, I'm gonna take care of somebody else." I walked away from him. I trusted him to stay safe with my invisible force field protecting him.

The water I stepped on turned to ice with every move I made. As I stepped closer and closer to him, I saw that his interest towards me grew bigger and bigger. Finally, he got off of his cloud and slowly hovered to me. We were still separate by a yard.

"Tell me. Why do you do this? What is it all for?" I asked him. He looked at me with a smile that spoke of sorrow and hysteria. "Can you blame me... for wanting to have my family back?" Maoi spoke as thunder roared.

"You wouldn't get it, would you? As scum of the earth, humans killed my family. Humans are the ones who started this war. Humans are the ones who kill with no reason at all!" Maoi passionately.

"So when I saw Lucian, I took this as an opportunity to take out as many of those pests as I could, while finding a way to bring back my mother and father. Along with my entire clan." Maoi explained.

I felt pity for the man. I knew for a fact that he didn't deserve to have all of the things he loved taken away from him. But for some reason, a smaller part of my form basically didn't give a f*ck. The only answer I knew Chalk had, were hands.

I clenched my fists, and a cold vapor smoked off of my body. Maoi glared at me, and his body was blanketed by a new lightning of his command. Purple. I knew this was on a whole other level, but I took the challenge.

Me and him rushed at each other, ready for someone to strike first. Instead, we stood side by side. Waiting. Just waiting for someone to make the first move. Our aura's became at war. The water was growing confused and unstable.

Our patience grew thin. Having enough of the pointless waiting, we clashed hands filled with our elements, and a big flurry of ice and electricity exploded right in front of our faces as the residue of the two scattered around the area.

Not able to take a longer passionate clash, our hands connected midway as we got carried away by our power struggle, and we had become blasted away from the raw power we had amounted to.
