"Can we talk about that later?" Hyunsuk asked. "I'll get going now. The university is just over there. It's not like you need to walk me there. Just go home and rest before your meeting later. Bye,"

Jihoon sighed seeing Hyunsuk walking away. He noticed that Hyunsuk has been avoiding him for days. Probably a little over a week. At first, Jihoon thought that Hyunsuk might just be a little busy. But judging by the way he's being around him, Hyunsuk is definitely trying to avoid him. Jihoon thought that Hyunsuk was just trying to act like that just to make Jihoon look for him or something. And Jihoon just let him be for a few more days because he's really sure that Hyunsuk will definitely be back to his usual self sooner or later. Well, he's actually hoping that Hyunsuk won't take too much time trying to act cold around him. It just felt really weird for him to suddenly act like that.

It boiled his blood seeing Hyunsuk suddenly kissed someone other than him yesterday, considering that Hyunsuk has been trying to avoid him for days. Jihoon himself realized that he has been acting selfish for just wanting Hyunsuk to only look at him without having any official relationship other than housemate. It's not like he really cares about Hyunsuk trying to kick him out of the house and he needs to find another house to live in or if he needs to pay the rent all by himself. He just realized that he hated the fact that Hyunsuk might be taking care of another person, not him anymore.

Seeing Hyunsuk being capable enough to have everything he wanted but choose to be with him, makes Jihoon feel bad but at the same time he doesn't want anything to change at all. He felt jealous when he saw Hyunsuk with his ex-girlfriend but then felt scared when he saw Hyunsuk with that one lecturer at the playground later that night. After thinking for a while, he realized that he just wanted to keep Hyunsuk by his side without actually dating him. Because in Jihoon's life dictionary, the more he loves someone, the more he'll get hurt. The more he showed that he cared about someone, the more he'll get abandoned.

If he ever talked to Asahi about this, Asahi would definitely ask him to talk to Hyunsuk, explain what he's actually thinking. But Jihoon was scared. He's scared of if he ever is honest about his feelings, the more he'll get hurt. Jihoon didn't know why but he just felt like that. That's why his relationship never actually lasted long. He tries to make sure that his partner actually loves him before he'll slowly open his heart for them. But none of them actually stayed that long. It makes Jihoon very sure that no one will actually love him that much so he shouldn't really give his heart as whole to anyone ever.

But, what about Hyunsuk? Who has liked him since high school. Who came back from overseas just to meet him again. Who still cares about him even though he already rejected him. Hyunsuk stayed for a longer period than his past partners. And for what reason Jihoon refused to open his heart toward Hyunsuk? Jihoon knew that he cared a lot about Hyunsuk. He really appreciates everything Hyunsuk has done for him. He really did.

"Are you alright?" Asahi asked as soon as Jihoon arrived at the meeting venue. Jihoon just nodded. "Is it about your housemate again?"

"Nothing. I said I'm fine," Jihoon said.

"You know that I know you so well that I can actually point out if you are actually fine or just said that you're fine," Asahi said.

"I think I like him," Jihoon said.

"For someone who said that you didn't like him less than 24 hours ago, you looked quite confident with your feelings. Why? Tired of denying overly obvious feelings? Did you have some dream of him leaving you or something yesterday?" Asahi asked. "You didn't sleep with him and suddenly decided that you like him or something, right?"
