As I jerk my head up from my phone, my parents are pulling up to the parking lot that is next to the hall I'll be staying at.
This part of campus is old, really old, but at least it's next to my classes.
Dad: Ah! Look at this place, it's so classy.
Mom: Looks old, I don't know about you.
Dad: It adds character!
Y/N: A home is a home I guess...
Dad: That's the spirit! I heard they're Co-ed too.
Y/N: Co-ed?
Dad: Boys and girls on the same floor.
Mom gives me a look, I know that look, don't worry mom, I get it.
He pulls into a spot and parks up, then we immediately begin unloading the car.
UNPACKING MOMENT
I set down my last box of stuff in my dorm. Yeah, love the traditional residence hall, got brick walls, no air conditioning, this will be great.
Dad: Ah, perfect dorm life experience, look the same when I was here.
Y/N: Yep, cannot wait.
Dad: Oh, you'll love it here boy, now come on, say goodbye to your mom.
Mom: Make sure you call us when you're settled in, when... what's his name?
Y/N: Ezreal.
Mom: When Ezra gets here, let us know if you guys need anything.
I love my mom, she always manages to get almost every name wrong, it's gotta be a talent at this point. I applaud both of them for getting me this far.
I hug both of them, mom kisses me on the forehead, practically reaching up for it.
Dad: Later big guy, hey, save some girls for the rest of em'.
Mom: Uh! Braum!
Dad and mom both laugh, leaving the room, leaving me alone for the time being.
I need some comfort, the first thing I take out is my speaker, I immediately pair it and throw on 3005.
This makes the unpacking go by really fast. I got my bed already in no time.
I put a stop in the door to keep it open, that way I can meet new people.
Soon, I got the drawers full, let's fucking go.
As I start spreading around the remedies, I'm visited by my first visitor. He stops at the doorway, his one red eye catching me off guard.
Kayn: What's up bro, I'm Kayn, I'm the RA for this place.
Y/N: I'm Y/N, what's up bro?
Kayn: L/N?
Y/N: Yep, that's me.
Kayn: Perfect, perfect, what's your major?
Y/N: Engineering, don't know how far yet.
Kayn: Physics, nice to see another big brain.
Y/N: Hey I don't know about that...
We both laugh uncomfortably; I can tell we are both nervous.
Kayn: I'm right down the hall if you need me, nice to see you Y/N.
Y/N: You too, see ya.
I finish unpacking and then throw the boxes, extra containers, bags, all under my bed.
