Chapter 10

The nurse took both of them first in an empty room. She asked Bright some basic questions about his health, then took Bright's weight and ask few other things, then left the two for the doctor to join them later. Both boys were silent in the room waiting for doctor. While waiting Bright couldn't help but wonder if Win was forcing himself to be in the same same room because suddenly he look very anxious and nervously wringing his fingers. Bright assume maybe Win is scared to see the room filled with monitor and several other equipment?. Bright inwardly chukled, he wasn't even the one being looked after though. Bright really wanted to laugh but held back himself because last time he visits to doctor only to confirm that he's pregnant. The nurse return and ask Bright to lay down on a bed for a while and the doctor will be here in a minute.

Bright nods and respond with a smile as he laid down on the bed and make himself comfortable. The nurse then pulled up his top, exposing his tummy out for further checkup. Win on the other hand awkwardly sit on a chair nearby that was placed beside the bed after placing his backpack on to the ground near his feet, he look everywhere except for Bright's. When nurse left the room Bright glance at Win direction, he wasn't surprised to see Win was again looking out of place and nervous wreck. Bright decided to say something as the silence was quiet irritating for some reason so he ask "You and Krist didn't visit Cafe in last few days..... I mean ...Sing was missing your friend". Win was taken aback by Bright's question. He wasn't sure how to answer because last time he check Bright wasn't liking it whenever he visited his Cafe and the other thing was he knows Krist and Singto talk alot on phone. Win stutter "S ... Sorry I ...I didn't get the chance to visit".

Bright was about to say something but the doctor enter with a smile. Though Bright know the reason why Win stopped visiting him but he just wanted to see what Win will answer. The obstetrician wore a pair of gloves introducing herself "Hi, My name is Richa, is this your first pregnancy?". Bright nods humming "hmn". Richa look towards Win as the nervous young guy briefly introduced himself to her. She then squeeze out some gel and rubs with a scanner on Bright's exposed tummy before informing him "let's look at the baby now.... This gel will feel bit cold". Both pair of eyes glued on the screen in front on the wall. Just within seconds Dr. Richa found the baby explaining the small spot "there it is your baby currently the size of a grape.... Right here did you see it?".

Bright nods his head few times then turned to look at Win, who look completely amazed while his blue eyes were already look glossy which made Bright surprised but Win cover it immediately. Bright began to wonder why Win was crying?, Maybe because he too find this moment too beautiful. It's their baby's first look afterall. Then it takes Bright a while to realize he was actually smiling widely ear to ear unlike his baby's Daddy. Bright felt this moment so special and precious, that he'll never forget it, regardless of the situation he got himself pregnant with Win child. All his worries, pain and frustration disappear as he was now able to imagine his future life full of happiness and joy with his unborn child. The possibility and new adventure that he was about to experience make him feel excited.

Bright was just about two months along now. Time seemed to be flying by faster than he would have liked. Dr Richa explain "according to ultrasound everything looks the way it should. You're probably 11 week alongside if we calculate with your last men.strual cycle. Your baby seems to be small but fun fact the baby mouth, tongue already forming and kidney too". Richa explain few more things while Bright and Win just look at the screen in awe. When she finish speaking about baby's development Bright ask "So everything is fine with my baby?". Dr Richa answered "Yes everything is fine. There's nothing to worry. I'll even give you the prints of this ". She press some button and took a picture of ultrasound before moving around to Bright's stomach. Win was silently closely paying attention. Dr Richa again question Bright "Do you have any symptoms lately. Morning sickness, discharge of fluid, swollen breasts, foot ache". Bright nods and respond "Uh, Yes I've been throwing up almost every morning, plus I started soaking my foot in salt water it does help but... Uh. my breasts are pretty sensitive it's quiet uncomfortable... specially during night ...I sometimes find it difficult to sleep at night".
