Chapter 23

Win immediately leaned closer to Bright face asking "Bright.. you're awake?". Bright tiredly asked "What happened?". Win sighed, and Gulf softly caress Bright's forehead and he softly muttered  "I'm going to step out and call Mew so that he and Singto can stop worrying". Bright gave a small nod. Gulf left the room after patting Win shoulder. Win turned back to Bright, rubbing his thumb on Bright's knuckle. Bright had never really held hands with Win, but now he didn't want Win to let go. Win was the only familiarity in the room, and he was the only person that made Bright feel safe, like he was going to be ok and everything will be fine. Win explained "Bright you have an iron deficiency. It happens a lot during pregnancy...You're anemic". Bright frown, as he ask sounding nervous "Is our baby okay?". he placed his free hand on his tummy. Win nods and softly responded "Yeah, our baby's fine. The doctor left some notes on supplements to take and you've got an IV, so you'll feel better soon". Bright breath out "Thank God". Win sighed and pressed a kiss on Bright's forehead than placed his hand to his chest taking deep breath. But as soon as Win realize he was being too clingy towards Bright, Win quickly moved away and lowered Bright's hand as he started to loosen his grip.

But instead Bright gripped tighten, not wanting Win to let go his hand just yet he mumble quietly "Don't let go". Bright just closed his eyes and took a breath of relief. He was still really shook from the incident and he needed Win to stay close to him. Win pressed his lips on Bright's hand before whispering "Ok, I won't let go". Win leaned closer and brush his fingers through Bright's hair. Bright eyes stayed closed letting Win do whatever he wanted. As he slowly began to feel more and more awake and relaxed. Then suddenly Bright remembered that Win was supposed to be leaving for work at this hour probably after his classes. Bright question looking at Win "What time is it?". Win replied "It's around 7:45 in the evening? Singto left an hour ago but if you're worried about work, both Mew and Singto want you to take couple days off to rest". Bright breath out "I figured. But what about you classes and work?. You had test today, didn't you? How did it go?".  Win replied "I left the test in half and If you think I'm going to go to attend test when you're like this, then you're sadly mistaken. You take priority over everything in my life, Bright". After hearing Bright could only blink at Win for a moment, should he laugh or cry hearing that, brat instead Bright look in confusion and question "Why?".

Bright really doesn't understand why Win was so willing to drop everything just to be with him, just because he's carrying his child or there's something more into it, certainly he isn't in love with him, it's just couple of week they know each other. Bright muttered "Atleast you would have finished giving your test before coming here?", Bright knew how important the test was,  He shake  head in disbelief that Win did so much preparation yet he left the test in half just because of him. In response Win retorted back "Bright, I care about you, dammit! Do you know how terrified I was when Sing told me you had passed out in Cafe? Why on earth would I sit for some stupid test when you're in the hospital!? Missing one test isn't going to kill me! And you! You need to take better care of yourself, do you hear me?... You should have told a doctor if you were feeling that bad. Even if it was just morning sickness, a doctor could given you some medicine for nausea. What if something had happened to our baby? I know you're strong, but if you feel bad, don't keep it in. Don't endure it. Please...". Bright quietly muttered, lowering his eyes "I'm Sorry", Win sigh and replied "It's ok, I'm not mad at you. I just really care about you and our baby ok? You are very important and my life's priorities, You and our baby. Bright.... I know you don't really think you trust me or you can rely on me, but please! I'm not completely useless. I can take care of you if you'll let me".

Bright felt really bad for making Win worried, but it was his fault, as he had put their baby life at risk, he bite his inner cheek and nods his head  muttering softly "I will from now...I'm sorry for worrying you". Win nods stating "It's alright. I'll forgive you this time. Just don't make it a habit". Bright promised "I promise, I won't...". Win then brushed his fingers through Bright's hair again, caressing it gently. Bright breathe deeply, he slowly wrapped his mind around what Win wanted and ask from him. Win cared about him and their baby. He prioritized him and their baby over his own life. All Bright's previous relationships had lacked that one thing, he wasn't priority for anyone hence he never find himself committed to anyone in serious way before. Though Win was young, but he was already so much more devoted to him than half of the people Bright had met in his life. How could he not fall completely for the guy? And how could he keep stubbornly not think of having a relationship with him?. Soon Gulf entered into the room. He inform Bright that he had updated Mew and Singto about him, and that they both are taking care of the Cafe, he doesn't need to worry about anything. Bright nodded have a head slowly, then apologized for causing them all trouble to his friend as well. Gulf sigh and sat down beside Bright, as he rub Bright's arm gently  saying "it alright, from now on Please take complete rest",  Bright nods, he made everyone worried still all were taking such good care of him. Bright was really grateful for all of them.

After a while nurse came in to check check up on Bright and disconnected his  IV. She carefully helped Bright to stand and had him walk around a bit, then she gave them all permission to leave. Bright still felt fairly weak but he wasn't feeling  dizzy anymore. Win and Gulf walked on either side of him, after finishing all the formalities as they headed towards Gulf's car. After reaching near the car Gulf ask "Bright, I'm going to take you home first, ok? Win would you like me to take you to your place later? I could also drop you off at your work if you'd like that?".  Win nervously glanced at Bright as he loose their intertwined fingers. Bright looked at him questioningly, already know Win wanted to say something. Bright raised his eyebrow in question causing Win to ask Bright sounding nervous "Is it ok if I come home with you? Just for tonight...I want to make sure you're alright ". Bright chukled softly "Yeah, That's fine. I would like you to stay with me tonight". Gulf smiled at the two saying "Alright, then I'll take you both to Bright's".

Win opened the door for Bright, then got in on the opposite side to sit beside him. As Gulf started driving them home, once again Bright cautiously reached for Win's hand making Win to almost jump on his seat. Bright giggle softly looking at the boy, he leaned on his shoulder and close his eyes. Win held Bright's hand a bit tighter before rubbing his thumb over Bright's knuckle, as he wrapped his other hand on Bright's back. Bright still felt really bad for making Win worry so much. The boy was really going above and beyond to look after him and try to make things work between them. Bright was the one that was slacking back and forth, wasn't making his mind up. They really needed to talk, and Bright decide to be honest with his feelings for Win.

They arrived at Bright's house around 9:30 in the evening. Bright gets down and held Win hand in his, he thanked his friend, Gulf once more, then led Win into his house while asking "Are you hungry? Win. I usually snack in the evening and take dinner late night after coming back from work but lately I've been hungrier because of the baby...". Instead of answering, Win question "So, Do you want something to eat? I haven't really eaten either though". Bright answered "Yeah... Shall I cook some quick dinner for us...". Win stared "Let me cook, I promise I won't ruin your kitchen. I can cook pretty well. I'd rather you sit down and rest until dinner is ready". Bright went straight into his kitchen to sit on a counter. He decided not to really argue with the guy giving at what happened earlier. He replies "Alright, go ahead.. I'll eat whatever you'll want.. but add chicken in it". Win raised his eyebrows but in response Bright only smiled sweetly.

Win chukled then he look around the fimilar kitchen, he went towards Bright's fridge pulling out, chicken, different vegetables and ingredients to use. This time Bright watched as Win walk around his kitchen, and he already like the sight, Win chopped few vegetables add into the chicken curry, the mild  aroma already made Bright more hungry, in the end Bright was thoroughly impressed with Win cooking skill. It also made sense, because Win  lived on his own, but it was a great relief to see that the boy at least cook instead of just buying a precooked meal from outside. A little while later, they were seated side by side on the couch in Bright's living room once again, quietly nibbling on a mixture of vegetables, chicken, and plain rice. Win softly asked when he saw Bright suddenly stopped eating and lost in his own thought "Does it not taste ok?, You want me to cook something else for you?".  Bright shook his head and look sad saying "No, it's really tastes good. Thank you for everything you've done for me.  And Win... I'm really.... I'm so Sorry you had to miss your test, classes and work because of me today". Win smiled back stating "It's alright. I'm just glad you're feeling ok. Make sure you take all the supplements on time, ok? The doctor left notes on how much to take". Then Win suddenly leaned closer and softly ask "....Bright.... Just promise me that you'll tell me how you're feeling from now on". Bright look deeply into Win eyes and nods saying "I promise I will". After saying Bright went back to continue eating his food, he smiled to himself. Win look so fucking cute when he was concerned. He was annoyingly cute and hot in general though, and Bright just couldn't ignore his feelings any more. He really liked the guy for his own good.
