He headed out of the room and went to the front door. Beth and Devin waited for a few minutes before heading to the hall. "It's just a damn dog." Daryl called out.
"He wouldn't come in?" Beth asked seeing Daryl.
"I told you both to stay back." Daryl said, waving his arm.
"Daryl, you said there was a dog. I love dogs." Devin said as she and Beth smile.
"Maybe he'll come back around. Come on."

Kai hummed. "there wasn't a soccor team at my school. I did play football though. Scared the shit outta my mom a lot." He shook his head as he smiled. He would never forget his first ever football game. It room Shelley and Rick both to calm his mom down enough to actually watch the game.
Leo laughed a little. "My mom took me out of soccor freshmen year when I broke my ankle. But hey, Tyreese got me into playing football. Mom wasn't too happy having both of her sons on a football field."
"Over protective mother's must've been very common." Kai said jokingly.
Leo scoffed nodding. "Yeah. I'd say so." He looked over at Kai. "Did Devin play any sports?"
Kai shrugged, titling his head. "Eh, she played volleyball for like a year. And she played softball all throughout middle school, she was good at it too... Just I guess sports weren't her “hobby”"
The Williams boy hummed, nodding his head. "Makes sense... Y'know since she's so good with her bat."

𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓, Beth Daryl and Devin were sitting in the kitchen. Beth had some paper and a pen. "I'm gonna leave a thank-you note." She told the two.
"Why?" Daryl asked.
"For when they come back. If they come back." Beth responded. "Even if they're not coming back, I still want to say thanks."
Devin smiled, Beth Greene truly was all that wad good in the world. She wished that she could be more like her. "That's sweet of you." She spoke, tilting her head.
Beth smiled at her.
"Maybe you don't have to leave that." Daryl said, shrugging. "Maybe we stick around here for a while. They come back, we'll just make it work. They may be nuts, but maybe it'll be alright."
Beth smiled widely. "So you do think there are still good people around." She chuckled. "What changed your mind?"
Daryl stayed silent and glanced over at her. "You know." He mumbled.
"What?" She asked.
"I don't know." Daryl mumbled looking at her.
"What changed your mind?" Beth asked once again. Her smile faded as Daryl stared at her. "Oh."
The cans on the porch started to rattle and the dog barked outside. "I'm gonna give that mutt one more chance." Daryl said standing up.
He walked out of the room and Devin looked at Beth. She smiled. "so tomorrow in was thinking we could—"
"Beth! Devin!" Daryl yelled before Devin could finish.
The two jumped up and Beth grabbed Daryl crossbow. They ran down the hall to see Daryl standing against the door trying to keep it shut.
Beth tossed the crossbow to Daryl. "Run! Run!" He yelled at the two before moving away from the door and letting the walkers in.
The three head down the hall. "Beth, pry open a window. Both of you get your shit!"
Daryl then started to lead the walkers through the house. "I'm gonna go get my stuff. I'll meet you outside." Devin told Beth as she split off to go a different way.
Devin headed into the room where her stuff was and she quickly shoved it all into her bag. She grabbed up her bat and headed back out the way she came from. She got out of the room and started to head to the window Beth opened but she was cut off by walkers.
"Shit." The redhead quickly ran back the way she came and ran back into the room. She slammed the door behind her.
"Fuck." She breathed out running to the window. She took the end of her bat and bashed it against the window three times and it finally broke. She tossed her bag and bat out first before climbing out.
Quickly she grabbed her things up and ran off to find Beth and Daryl. She got to the end of the road to see that neither of them are there. "Beth! Daryl!" She yelled, her heart started to race as she glanced around trying to spot the two.
Suddenly there was rustling coming from the woods and a herd of walkers stumbled into the woods. "God damnit." Devin cried out before running the opposite way down the road.
What she didn't know was if she had only ran the other way she stood the chance of catching up with Daryl, who thought he was running after the people that took both her and Beth.

It was a green yo-yo. He smiled softly picking it up. "What's up?" Leo asked looking over.
Kai let out a relieved laugh. "This is Devin's. She's alive." He laughed some more, holding the plastic toy in his hand.
Leo tilted his head. "It's just a yo-yo. How can you be sure?"
Kai put the yo-yo in his back pocket. "I know it's her's because it's the one I have her when we were younger." He walked over to the window and looked out. "This was her... She went out this way. I know it."
Leo nodded, picking up Jackass. "Well, let's go find her I guess."
Kai speed walked out of the room to the front door. Leo sprinted to keep up with him. "Which way are we going?" He asked.
Kai looked around and shrugged. "That way." He points. The two then set off to find Devin.
