𝐓𝐖𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐘•𝐅𝐈𝐕𝐄-the letter game

Fᴏᴜʀ ʜᴏᴜʀs ʙᴇғᴏʀᴇ ᴛᴇʀᴍɪɴᴜs ғᴇʟʟ

𝐊𝐀𝐈, 𝐋𝐄𝐎 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐃𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐍 laughed as they walked down the road together. The three have been trying to keep from getting bored.

"Okay what about... L." Leo said, nodding his head. "And it can't be me." The three were currently playing a game they made up where one of them would say a random letter and the other two had to list of the name or names of the people that they know that's name starts with that letter.

Kai and Devin looked at each other. "Officer Lam!" They both exclaimed at the same time.

Leo looked over at the two and raised his eyebrows. "Who?"

The two looked over at him. "Someone that worked with my dad." Kai responded. "He lived in this really cool house. It had a in ground pool and everything."

"My turn." Devin said and she thought for a second. "Q."

Kai groaned in annoyance. "How many Q names do you know Dev?" He asked.

"Quinn!" Leo gasped with a big smile.

Both Devin and Kai looked at him. "Quinn? Who the hell is Quinn?" Kai asked, shaking his head.

Leo shrugged. "my great aunt." He answered. "Her house smelt like mothballs and honey."

Devin's nose crinkled and she lifted a brow. "Mothballs and honey? That's a weird combination."

The boy tilted his head. "Sorta, I guess. But it wasn't the worst."

Tʜʀᴇᴇ ʜᴏᴜʀs ʙᴇғᴏʀᴇ ᴛᴇʀᴍɪɴᴜs ғᴇʟʟ

"𝐖𝐀𝐓𝐂𝐇 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐏." Kai said, grabbing ahold of Devin's hand to help her cross from the small canoe they found to get onto a pontoon that sat in the middle of a pond.

The two turn and helped Leo with Jackass' carrier. "We can sleep here tonight. Won't have to worry about walkers." Leo said turning to tie the canoe to the boat.

"Sounds good to me." Devin said sitting Jackass down on the bench. She then glanced around with a smile. "Shit, this is nice."

Kai nodded as he sat down. "I wish dad would've got us a boat." He smiled at the thought. "But I guess Officer Lam's boat was enough."

Leo looked between Kai and Devin and lifted a brow. "So was Lam rich?" He asked, everything he has heard about Lam had been about his nice house and big pool.

"He was good about saving money to buy the things he wanted."

𝐃𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐍 𝐒𝐔𝐂𝐊𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐀 sharp breath as Kai cleaned her arm with some alcohol. "Sorry. We don't need this shit getting infected." Kai said glancing up at her over the sunglasses he had on that he found in the boat's glovebox.

"I know." Devin muttered waiting for her wound to dry so Kai could wrap a new bandage around it.

Normally it was Leo who would clean and help Devin rebandage her arm but he decided he was gonna take a very much deserved nap.
