𝐃𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐍 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃
against the wall in the RV. Abraham was driving, following behind the car that Rick, Glenn, Michonne, Dane and Aaron were in. Rick decided that it would be best to arrive at Alexandria during the middle of the night.
Javi sat across from her with Jackass's carrier in his lap. Leo who had been sitting by Kai and Sam, stared at the cat. "I am so glad that Jackass isn't Kai and I's responsibility anymore." He said causing Javi to look over at him and Kai.
"You gotta problem with my cat?" He asked, narrowing his eyes
Kai scoffed, crossing his arms. "It's kinda hard to run away from walkers when you have to worry about a cat."
Javi smiled sarcastically. "If you can't take care of a cat, you cannot take care of a child. Please never have children." He said, shaking his head.
Carl scoffed, a smirk appearing on his face. "They can't. Neither of them have girlfriends."
"Who are they gonna get pregnant?" Duane asked, raising a brow.
"Each other?" Willow joked with a playful smirk.
Abraham, who had overheard the whole conversation started to laugh. "Holy shit, that's a good one." He chuckled.
Kai glared at the younger teens. "I hate you. All three of you." He grumbled.
"Shit." Sam chuckled, which made Kai look over at him. He sighed. "Dude, did that not remind you of anyone?" He asked.
Kai looked at him confused and glanced back towards Carl, Duane and Willow. "Who?" He wondered, looking back over at Sam.
The Philips boy rolled his eyes. "Us, dumbass. You, me and Dev. They are learning from the best." He smiled proudly.
"Oh. . . Man." Kai shook his head. "That's just wonderful." He muttered, sarcastically.
Javi looked between the two. "Oh, so you all were little shits?" He sarcastically asked.
Before either of them could answer Abraham's loud voice filled the RV. "Hold your asses. We're going for a ride." He announced just before the ride became a whole lot rougher.
Jackass almost bounced out of Javi's lap but the man was quick to wrap his arms around the carrier.
"We're almost out!" Abraham screamed and suddenly a loud shot rang out and in the distance a flare shot up in the sky.
Kate stood up from her seat and ran to the front. "Follow that." She pointed, leaning over and propping herself against the side of Rosita's seat.
"What?" Abraham asked, glancing away from the road for a second.
"The flare. Follow it." She repeated.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐏 𝐑𝐄𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐃 with Aaron's boyfriend, Eric, and decided that it would be best to just stop for the night. Devin found her a spot by a window and laid her stuff down before laying down, using her backpack as a pillow.
She stared up at the window and had a perfect view of the moon and stars.
"Dev, go to sleep." Dane said as he sat down a few feet from her.
Devin glanced up at him and sighed. "I'm not sleepy." She mumbled.
Dane frowned at her. "You hardly got any sleep last night." He reminded her.
"I'm fine." Devin muttered, rolling over to lay on her side.
Her father sighed. "Dev, come here." He quietly said, gesturing for her to sit by him.
Devin looked up at him and hesitantly crawled over to sit by him. Dane wrapped his arm around her and she laid her head on him. He started to quietly hum to her as he gently rubbed her arm with his thumb.
The girl tried to keep her eyes open, not wanting to fall asleep but soon enough slept took over.

𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐎𝐖 𝐒𝐓𝐔𝐂𝐊 𝐂𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐄
to her sister as the group approached the gates of Alexandria. Devin stepped closer to her as they came to a stop. A nervous feeling in her stomach. She might not know what was behind those gates, but she did know that it was all gonna be a start to a new beginning. A better one? Who knows. . . Maybe just different.
Willow glanced over at her before grabbing her hand. Devin looked over and the girl smiled at her and gave her hand a gentle squeeze. "Maybe there will be a hot shower." The younger of the two whispered.
A small smile appeared on Devin's face just at the thought of a shower. "Sure as hell hope so." She mumbled.
