𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 group sat inside the church filling their stomachs while enjoying each others company. "I'd like to propose a toast." Abraham said lifting up his glass of wine. "I look around this room... And I see survivors. Each and every one of you has earned that title. To the survivors."

"Cheers!"

"Is that all you want to be?" Abraham asked, rubbing his chin. "Wake up in the morning, fight the undead pricks, forage for food, go to sleep at night with two eyes open, rinse and repeat? 'Cause you can do that. I mean you got the strength. You got the skill. Thing is, for you people, for what you can do, that's just surrender. Now, we get Eugene to Washington and he will make the dead die and the living will have this world again. And that is not a bad takeaway for a little road trip."

The redheaded man glanced around the room. His eyes landed of Eugene. "Eugene, what's in DC?"

Eugene cleared his throat. "Infrastructure construction to withstand pandemics, even of this fubar magnitude. That means food, fuel, refuge. Restart."

Abarham nodded with a smile on his face. "However this plays out, however long it takes for the reset button to kick in, you can be safe there. Safer than you've been since this whole thing started. Come with us. Save the world for that little one. Save it for yourselves. Save it for the people out there... Who don't got nothing left to do except survive."

Rick chuckled and Judith cooed. "What was that?" He asked, smiling at the baby the others laugh. "I think she knows what I'm about to say. She's in. If she's in, I'm in. We're in."

Devin forced a smile as everyone else was happy about the decision to go. The thought of having a safe place sounded nice but the thought of just leaving for DC without Beth nags in the back of her mind. She looked around and it doesn't seem as if anyone else was thinking about Beth. Not even Maggie. But then her blue eyes landed on Daryl.

Daryl could feel her stare and he looked over towards her. The redhead gave him a slight shake of her head before looking away.

She leaned over closer to Leo and Kai. "Hey, I'm gonna go out and get some fresh air." She quietly told the two.

"Want some company?" Kai asked, smiling at her.

Devin slowly shook her head. "I wanna be alone for a little while." She told him, standing up.

She made her way past everyone and headed out of the church. She sat down on the front stairs. A few minutes later the doors opened behind her and she looked back to see Bob. The man smiled at her.

"Didn't see you slip away." He said, sitting down beside her.

Devin nodded looking up at the stars. "Yeah. . . I just needed to get away."

Bob nodded understandingly. "I get it. But there's something else on your mind."

The girl sighed looking over at him. "I don't know if I want to go to Washington." She truthfully told him.

The man looked at her confused. "You don't want to go get Eugene to DC to save the world?"

"Who's to say the worlds worth saving?" Devin asked, shrugging her shoulders. "Or that we're worth saving. Especially if we don't even try to find her."

"Who?" Bob asked raising an eyebrow.

"Beth. She's alive. She has to be. If we just leave without at least trying to find her... That's fucked up." Devin said, shaking her head. "I don't think I can do that. Not again. I know that she would go through hell if it was me or Maggie or one of the others just to find us."
