Book 3: The Merchant of the Deep Sea

*Ciel's POV*

I was asleep in my room after I had finished studying a while ago so I can be prepared for the exams tomorrow. After the whole Spelldrive incident, not only did I get some of my memories back, I also grew a bit closer with those of Savanaclaw, but more with Ruggie, Jack, and Leona. They would sometimes invite me over to the dorm for dinner when I can't go to Heartslabyul. But on the downside, I found out from the nurse that I have asthma, how I didn't put two and two together will be something I'll never live down. Because of that Leona would always make sure to see that I wasn't pushing myself and I have my inhaler, which the nurse taught me to use, on me before heading off. I haven't told the others yet but I will soon.

Anyways, as I was sleeping I felt my eyes open to see that I was underwater, panicking I swam to the surface. Lifted my head out of the water as I looked around to see that I was in a ocean with some rocks nearby. I also noticed that the sky was dark and a boat was sailing through the water with some fireworks going off. I tried to move my legs to get closer and that when things felt off, I looked down and noticed that my legs were replaced with a mermaid's tail. My eyes widen at the sight, but before I could do anything, I heard a loud boom and felt strong winds as I looked to the sky to see that an strong storm was now here.

"What an intense storm..." I said to myself before I heard yelling from the boat.

"Hurricane a'comin'! Stand fast! Secure the riggin'!"

I looked down to see that the ship was now sailing through the storm as I could hear the sound of yelling from above. Using my new tail, I swam closer to the boat as I can hear more shouts and lightning struck one of the ships sails. Once I was close enough, my eye widen as I saw the fire begin to spread onboard the ship, I then turn my head tp see a red haired mermaid swimming back a bit as I followed. After a while the ship crashes into some rock causing the crew on board to fall into the water, only to get on an stable small boat.

I stayed with the mermaid before turning my head away from the boat as I saw a vision of another boat in a dangerous situation. Then I heard and explosion and gasp, I looked back to see an explosion and a man landed in the water. The mermaid quickly swam to save him as I followed after her, we got close to the boat once more as we see the man sink into the sea. The mermaid dives after him, after a couple of minutes, she was able to bring him to the surface. She then brought him to shore so he can be found by someone while to also check if he's okay with the help of a seagull. Luckily, the black haired man started breathing after a while.

"Look! He's breathing." The red haired mermaid stated in relief

But then I heard voices and barks coming towards us, the seagull flies off as me and the mermaid dives into the water and hides behind some nearby rocks. Within a few seconds, a fluffy dog and a tall white haired man ran up to the man. While the man was slowly began to open his eyes and get up, in a little pain.

"Eric!" The tall man cried out in relief before helping the black haired boy to his feet.

"A girl...rescued me. She had the most...beautiful voice..." Eric explained

As the two walked away from the beach with the dog, I sigh in relief that Eric was okay before heard the sound of movement. I turned my head to see the red haired mermaid was now on a big slab of rock leaning forward a bit. She had a smile on her face as she began to sing what seems to be the last line in a song.

"My heart... Oh, how it pounds! Yes. I know it. The day will soon come...part of your world!" She sang out as waves splashed up from behind, then I noticed two eels looking at her.

"Heh heh heh." they chuckle to themselves before diving back into the water.

Then my vision grew black as I felt the sound of the waves and the temperature of the ocean begin to fade away. These noises were replaced by the sounds on my alarm clock going off as I felt warmth. I opened my eyes to see that it was morning within my room as I let out a yawn due to the fact I was still a little tired from studying before going to bed. I turned off my alarm clock as I was getting a bit annoyed from the loud noise. I then sat up and began to stretch as I thought back to that dream in confusion
