The Merchant of the Deep Sea: Part 33

*Third POV*

Meanwhile back at the Octavinelle dorm, chaos was reeking havoc on all of the students present there. The students were all running to get out of their as some began to collapse one by one and render unconscious. The culprit behind the chaos was none other than Azul himself as he had a crazy look on his face. He's using his signature spell to drain the powers from each of the students for his own gain. He had completely lost it the moment the contracts were destroyed but made up for it by stealing the students powers as he spotted a Scarabia student trying to escape.

"You there—give me your lightning magic! And you, give me your athletic ability! Give it all to me! All of it!" Azul shouts as he drains the student of his powers.

"AAAH!"

The student proceeds to fall to the ground unconscious after Azul was done draining him of his powers. Azul laughs crazily as he felt himself get stronger as he drains more students of their powers to get even more stronger. Ruggie had an horrified look on his face while Leona remained calm but was growling a bit.

"What's Azul sucking outta these people?! They're all collapsing after he's done with 'em!" Ruggie exclaims

"Looks like his signature spell sucks EVERY power out of someone if it's not channeled through a contract. I'm betting the contract is like a filter that limits his magic's effects." Leona explains while keeping his composure.

"What?! Kinda terrifying, don'tcha think?" Ruggie questions as Leona nods.


"Yeah. The backlash from using taboo magic like that is gonna exceed his blot tolerance in no time."

"Azul! What are you doing?!"

Leona and Ruggie quickly turn around to see Ciel's group and the twins running towards them with wide eyes. The two noticed that both sides had some bruises and cuts on their faces and hands, which told them that a fight happened. But they decided to ask them later as they had more serious things happening. Ciel's group looked at Azul in shock and horror as they saw Azul's rampage upon the other students. While the twins took notice how dark the place was compared to earlier.

"Whoa, yikes. What's goin' on here?" Floyd questions with wide eyes

"Dude, this does NOT look good!" Ace exclaims with wide eyes.

"Is Azul going out of control?!" Deuce questions in shock

"Looks like he's sucking different students' powers outta them by force." Jack says with a growl.

"Um, Leona? Ruggie? Mind explaining what happened that caused him to breakdown like this?!" Ciel demands before he began thinking about something.

'First Riddle, then Leona, and now Azul?! What is with everyone in this bloody school having massive breakdowns!'

"Eeep... Leona! You were bullyin' him, weren't you?!" Grim exclaims

"Now you're blaming me? You're the ones who told me to turn the contract into sand." Leona counters with a growl.

"Jade! Floyd! Ahhh, you've finally come back to me. Would you believe that thanks to these FOOLS, I've lost all of my contracts? Which is why I'm going to need your powers now. Come on, give them to me!" Azul demands with a crazy grin

"Hold on. Your signature spell is so powerful, it's impossible to control without a contract scroll. You know better than anyone what will happen if you do this!" Jade explains but Azul shakes his head.


"But I lost it all, you see? Everything! Aha ha... AHA HA HA! I'm going to revert back to my old self if I don't act now!"

"Y'know, Azul, I never saw you as lame before. But now? The way you're actin' is pretty lame." Floyd states


"Ooohhh, is that a fact? I'm just a silly little octo-twerp who can't do anything on his own. That's why I'm going to take everyone's powers. I will rise above your perceptions. A beautiful singing voice! Powerful magics! All of it, MINE! Hand it all over at once!" Azul exclaims as he began to drain the powers of more students.

"Aieee...!"

"Oh no, don't tell me..." Ciel trails off in horror as he saw ink flowing from Azul.

"What's all that black gunk drippin' outta Azul? That...ain't ink, is it?" Floyd questions in horror

"He's using his signature spell too much. The blot is exceeding his cumulative tolerance! If he doesn't stop...he's going to overblot!" Jade exclaims with wide eyes as Azul laughs.

"AAAH HAH HA! AAAAAH HA HA HA!"

Just then the same vision from earlier popped up once more as more ink feel from the sky which caused pain in Ciel's right eye once more. Ciel let out a scream of pain as Azul transformed into his blotted form. His skin became purple and black as his lower half became octopus tentacles, which were black. He had a black crown on the back of his head with black corals on his shoulders and back of his hips. There were sharp purple shells on the front as he was wearing an golden shell necklace while having some black markings on his face and ink floating around him.

Behind him was a big octopus lady with an black trident in her grasp as she pointed towards us, waiting to attack. Her head was a glass bottle that was shaped like a sea shell with an golden top as ink moved around and floated around her. The group were taken aback by the sight as they stepped back a bit.

"Myah! His legs turned into octopus tentacles!" Grim exclaims

"Didn't Leona state that he wasn't just a human, Grim?" Ciel inquires as he pulls out his sword.

"That's Azul's underwater form." Jade informs the group

"What's that behind him? It's so big, I couldn't squeeze it if I tried!" Floyd exclaims.

"I don't think that's what we should be worried about." Ciel states as Leona nods in agreement.

"Focus on getting Azul back to his senses for now."

"Yeah, otherwise we're gonna get the sea anemone treatment ourselves!" Ruggie shouts

The group nods in agreement as everyone besides Ciel pulls out their magic pens, while Ciel pointed the tip of his sword towards Azul. Then the fight began as Ciel gave the group orders while also dodging Azul's attacks. Azul was not just using his magic but also the students powers that he had taken so this fight wasn't gonna be an easy one. The group fought hard as they followed Ciel's orders and since Azul wasn't think straight, they used it to their favor. Azul stops in his attacks as he looked at the twins with a smirk.

"Let's make a deal, you and me..." Azul states as Floyd shakes his head

"I'd go for it if this was the regular Azul talking, but you? Nah."

"I couldn't agree more." Jade states in agreement.

The twins proceeds to charge and attack Azul, who was enraged that the twins refused to make a deal with him but the two didn't care. All they cared about was saving Azul from himself and they were gonna see to it that it happens. Ciel used himself as bait once more since he figured Azul, in his desperation, would hurt the person responsible for his down fall. Which worked and left him defenseless to the onslaught of attacks by the others since he couldn't focus on both Ciel and his group at the same time. After a while, the group managed to defect Azul as the creature behind him turned into a puddle of ink.

"You all just keep bullying me! Is it because I'm a slow, dimwitted octopus? All I wanted was the power to get back at my bullies...I... I just wanted to..." Azul cries out

The group watch as he begins to be swallowed up, however Ciel quickly rushes towards Azul before grabbing his hand. This shocked the others as they weren't expecting Ciel to do this stunt again. As a result, both of them were swallowed up by the ink pool that the monster left behind. Ciel held onto Azul as tightly as he could to avoid losing Azul within the ink pool. As his vision grows dark, Ciel could hear the cries of the others, callout their names before he lost consciousness.

"Ciel! Azul!"
