The Merchant of the Deep Sea: Part 14

*Ciel's POV*

I was fast asleep in my makeshift bed that Jack made for me as I can hear Leona and Grim's snores but paid no mind to them. After all, I was use to loud snoring thanks to Grim. However, the sounds of snores became silent as I opened my eyes. I saw that I was underwater again but this time, in an strange area. I looked down to faintly see a mermaid tail, which indicated that I was a mermaid again. Though due to how dark it was, it was hard for me to tell were I am currently as I looked around.

"It's so dark..." I said as I continued to looked around.

I then noticed the same red-haired mermaid from before, she was peeking through this place with a confused look. Then she enters as light began to shine as she was swimming deeper into this place. I followed her as I noticed strange small creatures staring at us, mainly the mermaid, as we swan by. They were brown and wrinkly as the were letting out wails, telling us to leave before it was to late. However, the mermaid didn't seem to listen, letting curiosity get the better of her, and continue swimming with me beside her.

"Come in. Come in, my child. You're here because you have a thing for this human." A women's voice called out.

We kept swimming down the tunnel, following the women's voice, until we reached an open area with a shell hanging from the ceiling. I saw that there was a mirror with different make up products, a wardrobe that seems to be filled with ingredients for something, and a shell like cauldron in the middle. I also noticed a octopus lady with purple skin and silver hair along with those two eels from before waiting for the mermaid. I couldn't help but see Azul and the twins within the the three, which left a bad taste in my mouth. I got closer as the octopus lady gentle grabs the mermaid and brought her closer to the cauldron. 

"Now, here's the deal. I will make you a potion that will turn you into a human for three days. Got that? Three days. Before the sun sets on the third day, you've got to get ol' princey to fall in love with you. Oh- and there is one more thing. We haven't discussed the subject of payment. What I want from you is...your voice." The octopus Lady explains as she hands the mermaid a fish bone pen.

"Now go ahead and sign the scroll!"

Despite having some hesitation at first and letting her desires get the better of her, she proceeds to sign the contract. She had her eyes closed and turned her head away as she was signing the contract. All while, the octopus lady was smiling devilishly while the two eels were smiling at the mermaid with evil intention. Then the dream faded as I heard the lady's laugh, leaving nothing but a void. After a while, I felt light hitting my eyes, I opened them to see that it was morning before sitting up.

"Really? I'm making deals in my DREAMS now?" I say out loud as Grim was still sleeping.

"Zzz... Mrah..." Then, Ruggie walks into the room.

"Heya, g'morning! Leona, it's time to get up. Up and at 'em, Ciel and Grim. Let's get those mangy faces washed."

"I was already awake." I stated as I got up from my makeshift bed.

"Mrah? Morning already? W-wait, it's barely six!" Grim cried out, awaking up due to Ruggie's shout.

"We do morning Spelldrive training here at Savanaclaw. Since you're part of the dorm for the next few days, you'll be joining us." Ruggie informs us

"Training? That doesn't sound like a bad way to spend a morning." I stated with a smile, I'll be able to practice with my sword like I wanted.

"Muh? Morning training?" Grim questioned as Ruggie nods with a smile.

"Yup. We've been at it ever since the last Spelldrive tournament."

"Mrrrgh, lay off... Zzz..." Leona groans while still being asleep.

"Leona! Don't roll over and go back to sleep!" Ruggie shouts but Leona doesn't seem to be listening.

"Whoa. Ruggie's draggin' his own boss outta bed feet-first." Grim stated with wide eyes as we watched.

"Mrrrf.... Zzz..."

"And he's still not waking up. Wow. That goes to show how tough it is to get him out of bed in the morning." I stated while shaking my head.

While Ruggie was dealing with Leona, I changed from my pjs to my gym clothes as I secured my sword and scabbard, which vanishes during school hours, on my back. Then, I fix my make shift bed to it's normal position as Grim was now helping Ruggie after being dragged in. After a couple of minutes, Leona finally wakes up but with a grumpy look. Me, Grim, and Ruggie leave the room to allow him to change in peace, which only took him a couple of minutes. We then proceeds to make our way to the dorm's Spelldrive stadium, after we got there I noticed Jack was there along with the rest of the students.

"Oh, hey. You're joining us for morning practice?" Jack questions

"Yeah, since we're staying here for a while we are expected to join." I inform him as Grim pouts.

"I coulda used several more winks, but Ruggie wasn't havin' it."

"Since we've got these freshmen crashing with us, let's make today a light game. Go easy on 'em." Ruggie informs everyone, who nods in agreement.

"*yawn* All this standin' around is gonna make me fall asleep again. Let's get on with it." Leona demands as he yawns.

Everyone nods before being split into two teams, one was the opposing team that was trying to get the disk while the other was trying to score. Me and Grim were on Jack's team, which had the disk while Leona and Ruggie were on the opposing team. Grim was holding the disk with some magic that wasn't like his normal magic. I pulled my sword from it's scabbard as I changed the element type to fire while others pulled out their pens and some had brooms with them. All of us were ready, but we waited for the bell to ring to commence morning practice.

"*Yaaawn*" Leona yawns as he stretched a bit.

"I'm amazed you're still tired..." I stated with an awkward smile.

"Hey, he thinks he can take us while he's still half-asleep!" Grim exclaims as Leona smirks at him.

"Hah. Forget half-asleep—I could take ya while I'm fully in dreamland."

"Okay, let's get this party started!" Ruggie cheers with a smirk.

The sound of the bell rang as my team ran forward as Grim was holding the disk since he can't use any of his attack magic type a the moment. Leona's team began to fire everything they had at us, well except for Leona since it seems he waiting for the perfect opportunity to pounce. I used my sword to slash through some of the attacks as Jack fired at some of them with some of the other students. In fact, he caused one of the students on the opposing team to fly of the broom. We continued forward until the sound of the bell was heard as we all stopped with the disk still in our possession. 

"Wow, you're hoppin' this mornin', Jack!" Ruggie states

"I never go easy in any kind of competition. I'd appreciate if you all could pick up the pace!" Jack demands with a smirk.

"Never change, Jack. Never change." I said with a smile ad Jack laughs.

"Woof, gimme a break..." Ruggie groans

"Nice goin'. *Yawn*" Leona compliments as me, Jack, and Grim smiles.

The bell rang again as Leona's team got back into position as did mine before charging forward once more. This time the opposing team was hitting harder, giving us more of a challenge than earlier. Ruggie was also doing the same trick from earlier but firing more fire spells at us making a bit harder for me and Jack to block it. Then, I sense someone heading towards us as I quickly jumped back just before Leona landed as it caused Jack and Grim be sent backwards and lose the disk. After a bit of chasing the disk, we regained it and continued before stopping again but not Grim.

"Woohoo! Feel the wrath of my super-special explosive shot! Wait, what?"

He noticed that me, Jack, Leona, and Ruggie weren't near him, same for the rest of the teams as they were all in small groups. Me, Jack, Leona, and Ruggie were in our own small group, talking about how we did during practice. Though we all decided to conclude practice for the morning since we, especially me, Grim, and Jack, had other things to do for today.

"Well, that woke me up." Leona states as he smirks

"think it's about time to wind things down." Ruggie said as he stretches a bit.

"This was great practice! Thank you!" Jack thanked them

"I'm so glad that I was able to practice more with my sword." I said with a smile.

"Whaaat?! But I wanna keep goin'!" Grim whines as I sigh while the others sweatdrop.

'He's gonna be like that for the rest of the morning isn't he...'

(My personal opinion, Ursula is the best Disney villain ^w^ )
