*Ciel's POV*

I was waiting outside of the Lecture Hall for Jack to show up so we can begin our observation on Azul, for it's easier to observe him than the twins. I looked down at Azul's schedule, which Crowley gave me, in my hand so we'll know what classes he'll go to next. I let out a sigh as I thought back to what happened yesterday, it caused me to be irritated. I was still mad at the trio, but that didn't mean I want them to be used by Azul for work labor. Before I can think about it more, I hear someone calling my name. I looked up to see it was Jack.

"Yo. I'm here and ready to get this Azul recon started." Jack said

"Wow, you skipped class? I wasn't expecting you to show up." I stated in surprise

"Look, the headmage ordered this personally. He'll let an unexcused absence slide.
Besides, I don't like admittin' defeat. If there's a chance to uncover the secret to Azul's power, I wanna be there when we learn it." Jack informs me.

"That's fair."

We both enter the Lecture Hall quietly as to not get any attention on ourselves by the other students. Especially since Azul will know that me and Jack are spying on him since we're the only ones, as far as we're aware, who saw what the infected students were forced to do. Who knows what will happen to me and Jack if he notices us. I shake my thoughts as we began to hear each student takes turn singing as this was Music class. After a while, it was Azul's turn and much to our surprise, he was pretty good.

"Traaa-lalala-lalalaaa..." Azul sings

"Huh. Guy's got some pipes." Jack stated in surprise.

"Yeah, though it's kind of off a bit..." I said as the pitch was a bit to low.

We continue to listen until his turn ended as he returned back to his seat with a smile on his face, pretty proud of himself. After a couple of more students went, the bell rang out and everyone left to their next class. We followed after Azul to his next class, which was Animal Linguistics, while keeping a good amount of distances to avoid being caught. Which didn't fail us as we were in the classroom watching him speaking to Lucius as part of the lesson. He was speaking cat perfectly well, which I was able to understand what they were talking about.

"Mrooowr... Mrr, mrah!" Azul meows

"Mrooowr... Mowow." Lucius meows back

"Yes, yes, I see. Lucius says that the last time you gave him a treat was three hours ago, Professor Trein." Azul informs Trein, who smiles

"Well done, Ashengrotto. That's correct."

"So he doesn't just understand animal languages— he speaks 'em, too?" Jack questions

"That's pretty impressive, I have trouble speaking animal languages." I stated, impressed

After a while the lesson was now over as Trein talked about what the next lesson will be about for next class. Meanwhile, I was struggling as to not sneeze as Lucius was on my lap while me and Jack were hiding. Thankfully, that didn't last long as we were now in Azul's Potionology class after Animal Linguistics class. We were hiding behind a couple of shelves that were angled in a way that it's hard to see the other side. We watched as he was making a potion in front of the whole class.

"A beluga tooth, a sturgeon egg, aurora moth scales, mermaid tears... Add in an extract from 120 types of medicinal herbs blended together, and..." Azul began to put the ingredients into the cauldron

He then proceeds to mix all the ingredients all together to make the desired potion he was making. After a couple of minutes, there was a 'poof' noise, indicating that the potion was completed. He proceeds to place the potion into a bottle before showing it to the whole class with a smile.

"Done! You can drink this potion to transform a body part into that of a different animal." Azul explains while holding the bottle.

"That's a very good boy! You just formulated a potion that would usually go on the junior-year class's final exams. The rest of you whelps should learn from Ashengrotto's example." Crewel informs the rest of the students.

'I don't think that's a good idea...' I thought to myself

"AND the guy brews high-level potions as easily as barista slings lattes... Sheesh." Jack states as I looked at him confused.

"...You lost me at the barista part, Jack..."

Jack just shakes his head, telling me not to worry before we quietly leave the room and headed for lunch in the cafeteria. Since we arrived early, there weren't that many students present so we quickly got our food and sat down at a table as more people arrived. After a couple of minutes the whole cafeteria was filled with students. As I was eating, I noticed Azul in the crowd, who I pointed out for Jack, as he was ordering some food. Jack listen in to hear what Azul was saying, since he has better hearing, and relying what Azul is saying.

"I think I'll have some squid ink pasta for lunch today. Ah, but I do need my vegetables as well.
An all-carb meal would be quite nutritionally lopsided...and more to the point, it would go straight to my thighs." Azul states as he was grabbing his lunch.

"Seems like Azul's a perfect honors student in every way." Jack watched as he was eating his lunch.

"That'll make Deuce jealous for sure, but if it's a cover up then that's a different story since he was acting different back at the Mostro Lounge." I stated with an awkward smile.

As I was about to bite into my sandwich when I heard a familiar voice behind me, complaining about something. I turned my head as Jack looked too, we saw that it was none other than the trio themselves. But I became worried when I saw the state they were in, they had bags under their eyes as they looked like they wanted to sleep but couldn't. I continue to watch as Grim continues to complain.

"Mrooow... Azul sure didn't waste any time workin' us to the bone. If I wasn't dead on my feet before, I sure am now." Grim says tiredly

"Cleaning Octavinelle Dorm, waiting tables at the lounge, going on grocery runs... He's been running me ragged." Ace groans

"I got called in at 6 a.m. this morning." Deuce said with a tired look.

"I gotta go back to help out at the Mostro Lounge after this." Ace informs the group

"Housewarden Rosehearts was all like, 'You made a contract with Azul? Off with your head!'
He made me write lines as punishment..." Deuce stated, which made me sweatdrop.

'So Riddle already knows... Well, can't blame him for getting mad at Deuce and Ace. I'm still made at Grim for making such a contract.' I was drinking my tea as Grim groans in annoyance.

"This sea anemone on my head just won't come off, either. I look like a total goofball."

The three let out a sigh as they continue eating and relaxing before they have to go back to Mostro Lounge for more work. I just continue drinking my tea as Jack shakes his head with a sigh.

"Pah. You reap what you sow." Jack stated with a small glare
"This work environment has some issues. I wish I could get them out of this mess ASAP." I said, not liking how Azul is treating them, even if they deserve it.

Then, two boys approached both mine and jack's table and the trio's table with smiles present on their faces. It was the twins, Jade and Floyd Leech, while me and Jack were surprised to see them, the trio didn't notice them yet. Which could be cause of the fact that they had their backs towards them, but that didn't stop them from talking with them.

"Why the long faces, boys?" Jade questions

"Aha ha, look! It's a sea anemone garden." Floyd chuckles as the three jumps.

"Myah! It's the lookalike brothers!" Grim cries out with a glare, while I looked at them in confusion.

'I wonder what they want with them now?'
