*Third POV*
The two were taken aback when they entered the room, there were blue and purple shelves surrounding them filled the brim with books. The books were of many different sizes and seems to be for spells, potions, and a bit of geography. The bottom walls had small ocean paintings on it with a few shell lights. There were two fancy couches with a table with ocean art on it along with there being a fancy desk and a chair, both which gave Ciel familiarity, behind it. But what surprised them even more was the fact that there was a big vault behind the chair.
"What IS this place? Are we really still on school property? Look at that huge vault... It's like some kinda bank." Jack stated, questioning just what his going one.
"I feel like that vault is being used for more than just money..." Ciel states, sensing something off with the vault but didn't know what.
Azul walks to one of the couches and sat down, he sits with one of his legs crossed over the other while having is hands interlocked. Ciel winces a bit as he felt familiarity with the pose Azul was making but kept quiet. The twins came into the room with two cups of teas with smiles on their faces as Azul spoke to them in a business tone.
"All right, that's enough rubbernecking. Please, have a seat. So, what would you like to discuss with me?" Azul states as the two sits down, they were given some teacups by the twins before they stood by Azul's side.
"Well, I'd like you to free the students you've indentured." Ciel states with a serious look, causing Azul to smirk.
"Ha ha ha! Goodness me. That's quite the demand to make right out the gate. You would ask me to release all 225 students from their contracts with me?"
"225? Impressive." Ciel states, not realizing just how many people made a contract with Azul.
"You bamboozled that many people?! That's nuts!" Jack exclaims with wide eyes as Azul nods.
"Yes, well, Jade and Floyd did a bit of proactive market outreach this year. Thanks to that, I've had no shortage of clients ready to strike up deals with me. Now, Ciel—as for your request to free these students... I am not forcing them to labor under any undue duress."
"Can you please clarify how? Because I've been hearing from others how that's not the case." Ciel inquires, to which Azul gladly does.
"They made a contract with me, and they willingly consented to the terms laid out in writing. Contracts are ironclad agreements not subject to intervention from outside parties on any emotional basis. 'Poor, unfortunate souls' they are not. To put it more bluntly: your protestations will avail you nothing, no matter how much you might kick and scream." Ciel thought about this before speaking.
"I see well, I've been told you're willing to grant any wish as part of a deal."
This caused the four to be taken aback by the statement while Ciel just stares and takes a sip of tea. He guessed that they probably didn't expect someone like him to suggest making a contract. While under normal circumstances, Ciel would never in his life make a contract with someone like Azul, especially since a few of memories states he's already in one. But if he wanted to play his cards right, he might have too. After a few minutes, the shock faded, except for Jack, as Azul smirks while the twins found it amusing and impressed.
"Wait, what?! Have you lost it?!" Jack questions in shock
"Oho. You want to make a deal with me? Now there's an interesting proposal." Azul smirks towards the other Perfect.
"Aha ha! Little Shrimpy's got some guts!" Floyd laughs while Jade just smiles
"Hm. Now, while your interest is duly noted... There's a wee bit of a snag. You see, Ciel, my understanding is that you have no innate magical power. You're not gifted with a beautiful voice, nor are you heir to any kingdom. You're an utterly run-of-the-mill human in every possible way. Considering the big ask you're making of me, I would need considerable collateral." Azul explains
"Such as?" Jack inquires with his arms crossed.
"Hm, I don't know... Just off the top of my head, how about usage rights for Ramshackle Dorm, which is presently under Ciel's supervision?" Azul suggested causing the two to be taken aback.
"What do you plan to do with the dorm?" Ciel states with a cold stare while Jack glared.
"Hey... Was that your whole angle from the—"
Then there was a loud slam of the door being opened just before Jack could finished what he was going to ask. Everyone jumped except for the twins, who just looked at the door in confusion. Ciel accidently dropped the cup but thankfully it was caught by Jade and the cup was empty, or else he would've burnt himself. Ciel, Jack, and Azul looked towards the entrance to see who it was. But they were surprised to see a small creature covered head to toe in soap foam with only it's eyes visible as it spoke.
"SIGN ME UP FOR THAT!"
"Who is this strange, foamy creature?!" Ciel cries out before realizing it was just Grim.
"I can't TAKE it anymore! My fur ain't for washin' dishes!"
"Ducking out of work to eavesdrop on others is hardly employee-of-the-month behavior, Grim. Floyd, eject him." Jade orders in disappointment
"Can do!" Floyd states but was stopped by Azul.
"Now, now. Let's not be hasty, gentlemen. Ciel, the lone student at your dorm has weighed in on the matter. What say you? Will you put Ramshackle Dorm up as collateral and make a contract with me?"
"Hm..." Ciel began thinking
"Pleeease, CIel, I'm beggin' here..." Grim pleaded
"Ciel, don't do it! You know he's just gonna name some unreasonable terms you could never possibly meet." Jack pleaded, worried for Ciel's sake.
Ciel continued thinking, trying to figure out what he should do as both sides had good points in this situation. If Ciel makes a contract with Azul and fulfill the requirements without breaching contract, Azul will free the students. But, Jack did inform him that Azul might make the terms unreasonable and he might breached the contact as a result. Ciel thought about some more before coming up with a plan, but just needs more information. He looks up with a cold stare and his arms crossed.
"What are your terms for granting my wish?" Ciel inquires in a cold tone which made Azul impressed.
"That's the sporting attitude I like to see."
"Hey! Are you serious?!" Jack questions in shock
"Just trust me." Ciel states in a serious tone as Azul began to speak.
"Here's the deal..."
