When it was time for detention, only Miya and I showed up. Apperently Ryan was removed from detention because he was the "captain" of the football team.
I sat behind Miya and stared looking around, it was my first detention ever. I was just about to zone out when Miya tossed a scrambled piece of paper at me. I opened it and it read:
Thanks for standing up for me and sorry you are in detention because of me.

I wrote back:
No worries besides I would have been toast if you hadn't stepped in.
I read it twice before tossing it back to her.

You are missing work won't they fire you.

I'm pretty sure that's not how it works. Although I might get a warning.

It's totally okay.

Would you like to grab a snack at my house when we get out of this detention.
