On Friday there was a football tournament at school. I didn't want to go but  Mom asked me too.  I felt too guilty to refuse so I went.

I wore a hoodie to hide my face and kept my head low.

Miya, James, Lee and Robby were there in a group. They seemed so happy and I felt even worse about everything I did.

Ella and Ryan were there together wearing matching shirts and holding hands they looked like the couple of the year and to everyone else I must have looked like the loser who tried to separate them.

10 minutes into the game and I really wanted to go home but I promised Mom I would stay for atleast 30minutes.

At that exact moment someone sat next to me. I slightly lifted my head to see who it was without them realizing but my efforts were in vain as she put her face directly against mine. We were so close our noses almost touched.

Then she smiled and I remembered all the times I worked so hard to see her smile.

Miya was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen with her long brown hair and a mesmerizing smile.

She shoved cotton candy in my face.
“Remember the time we went to the festival and you bought me pink cotton candy?” she asked.

“Of course I do, you ate so much I thought you would get sick.”

“It will always be my favorite memory of you.”

“So you don't hate me? Because you should I was such a terrible person and I'm sorry.”

“No I don't, friends argue but they also forgive each other.”

“Thank you Miya. Thank you for helping my Mom and Clara”

“Why do you say it like I have done you a favor. I would be happy to help anytime just promise not to be reckless”
