When I got home I thought that the first thing I'd see would be blood or maybe the house burned down but to my surprise everything was fine.
Miya was there and Mom was eating expensive food which Miya probably bought. Clara was dressed well and had a new toy which must have also been Miya's doing.
I wonder why they called me so frantically.
I said hi to everyone and went to the room. I took a long shower to try and feel alive and ready for work.
When I walked into the room Miya was sitting on the bed Mom and Clara sleep on. I stood there with only a towel covering my lower half.
“Where were you last night?” she asked.
“I was at a party, why?”
“A party? Are you kidding me? Your mom collapsed on the kitchen floor and Clara spend so much time trying to call you. If she hadn't called me I don't know what would have happened”
“What did the doctor say?” I asked
“He said that she's been drinking the wrong medicine so I bought her the right ones. I bought two bottles Incase one finished in the middle of the night or something”
“That might be my fault, I bought cheaper medicine to save money.”
“Why on earth would you do that?” she asked almost yelling.
"Because not everyone is as rich as you Miya" I said with a gesture.
“What happened to your job?”
"Nothing now why are we argue about this you came right? And everything is fine right now so it's not a big deal "
“Not a big deal?”She asked angry.
“What now?” I asked annoyed.
“You've been going to parties, irresponsibly spending your money. You lost your best friend over a girl who couldn't care less about you. And now you've neglected your mother. What's going on with you?” she asked putting her hand on my shoulder.
I slapped her hand off my shoulder and said “Miya maybe you shouldn't butt in other people's personal lives. Go take care of your daddy issues and leave me alone”.
She stormed off with tears but I was running late for work so I didn't have time to care
