"Oh yea Max, Miya's boyfriend?"
She said it as if she had just remembered but something told me she was faking it.
"I wish" I could feel myself.
blushing. She rolled her eyes for a split second and wore her sweet innocent smile again.
"So how'd you meet her anyway?"
"Who Miya? We met at the cafe where I work"
"You have a job? You're so manly. How have I never met you before?" She giggled and threw her hands on my shoulder.
Was she flirting with me?
This girl was nutts? The bell rang and I was thrilled to get away from this creepy, awkward conversation.
I got out of my chair and was about to leave when she said, "Wait Max, it's lunch, you should come sit at my table. It will be fun"
I really didn't want to but then I thought about James and how much he would hate me for not helping him get the girl he likes. Besides that wasn't even a question, she was telling me to sit with her at her table.
"Sure as long as I can bring a few friends along."
She reluctantly agreed.
