Trigger warnings~ bullying mentions of lycanthropy camps

Prompt~ definitelynotelvira on tumblr~ Oooh, I have an idea :D do you think you can maybe do a comfort fic of Larissa?
Maybe a student is getting bullied by the other furs for not wolfing out? And Enid reports them to larissa and she takes care of it and comforts the student??:o

Being a wearwolf was meant to be great, a pack that would be your family no matter what, through the good and the bad times, someone to accept you for who you are and guide you through it. Then when you were of age, you'd find a mate and be happy for life. That's how it was meant to go, but for you? No. You're own back we're losing faith in you, that you won't ever wolf out, the prospect of being a lone wolf and rejected from your pack absolutely terrifying you.

You knew you weren't the only student at Nevermore with this issue but Enid had now wolfed out since the whole Crackstone issue leaving you alone now. At least her situation made sense, she had to wait for a blood moon due to her rank in the pack, she was going to be powerful one day even if no one believed it. They would all regret teasing her the way they still tease you. Normally that would give you hope, after all you were only a few months younger than Enid, you still had time but with everyone pressuring you, it seemed like it was never going to happen.

You always felt a little different but this was worse some how, there was a specific group of wolves that decided you would be fun to ridicule, after all a wolf who can't wolf out, not really a wolf at all right? Well that's how they saw it, when your parents confronted you over sending you to a conversion camp for wolves you couldn't help but feel like a disappointment. So you did the only thing you knew how, you ran away from them, from the school, from every horrid feeling that was clawing it's way over your body.

Little did you know, Enid Sinclair was worried about you, and overhearing what your parents had said really brought back memories of her own, where she felt lost and hopeless so with her girlfriend in tow she went and found her saving grace. Larissa Weems, headmistress of Nevermore, was no stranger to feeling alien amongst your own kind, so when she saw how Enid was struggling she was there for her. Now Enid freely opened up and sought the woman out for comfort, even Wednesday had began to open up, just a crack but it was there. Enid gave her the run down on what she knew and Wednesday even managed to chirp in about how she heard some girls teasing over them being in heat and so desired while you remained unwanted. Truthfully, hearing all this broke her heart, you were going through it alone unlike Enid who had Wednesday and you didn't feel you could come to her. She had to fix that.

After thanking and dismissing the girls she immediately set off to where Enid said you'd be hiding, you thought of questioning how she knew but a blank stare from Wednesday squashed that idea.  She found you crouched down sobbing, tucked away in the abandoned dance hall. The juxtaposition between the massive space and you hiding yourself in the corner showing just how small and hurt you were.

"Darling? Are you okay?" She murmured to you, you thought of lying, but what good would it do? All you did was sob harder and curl even more into yourself mumbling about how you were such a disappointment and a failure as a wolf. Normally you'd question how she found you but you remember the only other person who knows of this space is a certain blonde haired wolf with blue and pink ends. Larissa moved to crouch down in front of you and gently guided your chin so she could hold your gaze, "you darling, are not a disappointment. Not at all. Your smart kind and so I'm told really funny. You have such a beautiful soul and heart darling. Everyone does things on their own timelines and that's okay. You're just a "late" bloomer" she really put emphasis on the fact it's okay. "They want to send me to a camp" you whimpered allowing the woman to wipe your tears with the pad of her thumbs, "i don't want to go. I've heard things about them."

"Hey, you don't have to or need to go darling, I'll make sure you don't have to do anything you don't want to. I don't agree with those camps, shall I let you in on a secret little pup?" You nodded sniffling trying to believe her words. "When I was your age, I couldn't control my shifting. I often would accidentally shift parts of my body and panic being stuck in that shift. Now imagine my surprise when I suddenly grew a body part that shouldn't be there. I panicked and the people around me laughed. Another time I was in bounty and I accidentally shifted my head into a flower." You couldn't help but giggle at that and Larissa joined you happy to see that smile back on your face, "the point is it took me so much longer to control the ability because of all the pressure I put on myself, I wanted to be like everyone else but now I'm glad I did things on my own timeline. I'm one of the better shifters due to being the last to control it. It helps if you have someone safe to help guide you. I know Enid is worried for you love and I'm here too. You aren't alone."

You threw yourself into her arms, the force knocking her over slightly as she wrapped her arms around you. "You're safe pup" she murmured rubbing your back. That's when you felt it, a pop above your head. You'd just got your ears. The shock on your face told Larissa this was a new experience for you so she made sure to reassure, comfort and praise you, much like her teacher did for her back in the day. "That's it pup, you just have to be ready to accept you for you, rushing yourself will only suppress your Wolf more." And it turned out Larissa Weems was right, under her and Enid's helpful wings you were wolfing out by the end of the school year.
