*A/n ~ I'm back and here is another one shot. Tw~ eating disorder *

Prompt~ reader has had an eating disorder and is in recovery. It's a bad day and Larissa is there to support them.

A lot can happen in a life time. So it's only natural that in your 25 years of existence you had been through some shit. Fortunately your time at Nevermore had be significantly happier than your life before. But still there was always going to be challenges. Stress was always a trigger for you. It had been for as long as you have had your issue. Which is what had you sat in your quarters avoiding the meal time. You were sure you could easily avoid the hall and not be noticed. I mean who would be paying attention to little old you. Like the days before you knew the other teachers for Nevermore would assume you've been caught up grading or lesson planning. A far cry from the truth of course.

It was the firm knock to the door of your abode that drew you from your own thoughts. With a quick glance at clock that was steadily ticking on the wall your confusion grew. It was past 7 in the evening. Who would be knocking on your door? In an attempt to go and answer that very question you stood up. Head spinning and your vision blurring you quickly sat back into the chair you had previously occupied. Blinking rapidly in attempts to clear your vision you vaguely recognised the gentle shutting of the door. Whoever was keen on speaking to you tonight clearly had no patience. Your temper was flaring at the intrusion of your privacy until it all melted away at the sound of her angelic voice.

"Darling? Are you quite alright?" Concern laced her words as she sprang into action coming to crouch in front of you gathering your smaller hands into hers. Thumb gently rubbing the tops of your hand in an act of comfort.

"I-I'm fine just a little woozy" was the mumbled reply that your brain could come up with in its frazzled state.

Larissa likes to pride herself on being an observant human. She had to be as a principle. Teenagers can be mischievous and sneaky so it was only natural that Larissa felt it natural to have eyes in the back of her head. Teenagers bring all sorts of different issues and challenges, all of which Larissa had years of practice dealing with. However this is a first for Larissa. A staff member that she held close to heart was suffering. Yet she didn't notice. How could she miss the signs? It was obvious as she knelt in front of you now. The pale sunken in cheeks, the way your skin seemed impossibly tight around your bones and the episode of dizziness that was clearly something she was use to dealing with. It was all too obvious now. Naturally the older blonde began to rack her brains for the last time she'd seen you in the food hall. However, a frown found it's way over her beautiful features when she realised she couldn't remember the last time.

"Honey, when's the last time you ate?" She quizzed gently not wishing to force and answer from you but desperately wanting to get the answer she needed.

Once your spell had subsided panic bubbled up through your chest. You couldn't hide any longer. Larissa had seen how broken you were. And it's only natural that she would want some answers. You watched the concern grow in her eyes as your panic was rising. The familiar tale tale signs of a panic attack presented themselves so quickly you had no way of being in control. Food was a tricky conversation for you and it always had been. When you relapse it ultimately became harder.

"Hey! Hey, hey y/n! It's okay focus on my voice it's okay. You're not alone. It's okay honey." Larissa whispered hoping to break through the panic attack. "Try to breathe darling. It's okay you're okay."

Attempting to follow the soothing voice of your boss and taking breaths that came out all wrong you tried to calm yourself. You knew Larissa well enough to know you were safe.

"That's it honey that's a good girl. Keep breathing good girl" Larissa whispered holding your gaze to ensure you heard every word.  Your hands shook as your body fought off the remainders of your attack.

"I- im s-sorry Larissa" you managed to gasp out in between breaths. Embarrassment ran freely through your body at the thought of appearing weak in front of your boss. Ultimately you knew your secret has to come out.

"It's okay honey, your okay. When did you last eat something darling?"

"I-uh - a few days ago?" It sounded more like a question than actual fact. You knew that. But if you were honest the days blurred together on the days you struggled like this.

With your reply Larissa seemed to spring into action looking to find something that would provide you with some substance. Within 5 minutes she was back sitting on her heels with a glass of water and a sandwich cut into two pieces. "Here, darling you need to eat this. You'll feel better." Her tone left no room for any arguments.

"I- Larissa I can't. No it's too much. I'm fine honestly I can go a few more days." Excuses tumbled from your lips as a reaction from the fear you felt. Bread meant carbs and carbs meant gaining weight. And you definitely didn't want to gain anymore weight. As if she could almost read your mind she addressed your fear.

"Darling, you're okay. I know it is scary. But that's okay just have a bite okay? One bite at a time. I'll stay with you if you wish? As long as you need me too. You have to make sure you're eating darling. I just want you to be well. It's okay your okay."

It was her gentle encouragement and promises to stay with you that had you nibbling ever so slightly at one half of the sandwich. Although a very small action it elicited praise from the older woman. "That's it honey. Good girl. You're doing so good." She murmured resting her slender hands just above your knees still stroking any skin she could find purchase on.

It may have taken longer than anyone would deem necessary but you finished the sandwich and your water causing Larissa to smile proudly at you as she joined you on the sofa. Larissa may not understand how your eating disorder began. But she was adamant in being here to support you through the hard days. Silently vowing to herself to always pay close attention to you. She'd missed the signs once and she'd be condemned to hell if she missed them again.
