---Almost 4 years later---
I groaned sitting up and looking around my bedroom. I'll admit it's not as big as the one I used to have back when I lived with my..'father', but it's big enough.
I looked around and sighed getting up when my eyes stopped on the clock which read '11:08'. I got up walking into my bathroom. I took care of my business and brushed my teeth. walking into my room, I opened my closet looking through my sports clothes for my daily morning run. I chose a pair of cropped leggings, a sports bra, Nike trainers and an arm band to hold my iPhone along with my Beats earphones.
After tying my long, brown hair which had caramel highlights, I put on a light layer of foundation and lip gloss on before heading out my room downstairs.I'm so grateful that Katie taught me how to put make up on when I got here all those years ago. I still remember her reaction when I first arrived at her house that day, she welcomed me in and said she would help me to change who I am. Even though she didn't hide her disgust for my dull, lose outfit and drab blonde hair.
We went through so many different things to change me, not just physical stuff but the personality and behaviour changes aswell. With the help of her friends, she changed my hair, my closet, how I walk, talk, think and act and also taught to me to stick up and fight for myself.
Now I'm part of a gang in San Diego. It's not a major gang, more like an amateur gang but we do all sorts of things like; handling money and drugs, street fights, and street racing . It isn't that big or official, but we are important, it was just something I had going on on the side while I studied.
I went into the kitchen to see all my closest friends, they're like...no, they are my family now.
My eyes first landed on Carter, he's 18, I looked to his right to see Leah, who's the youngest at 17 sitting next to him. I'm also 17 but my birthday is a couple months earlier.
Next to Leah was Faith, she's 18 and is Reece's twin. Next to Faith was Reece, he's 18 but the oldest out of all of us.
I looked around the kitchen for Katie and I saw her making her famous hot chocolate. Well she calls it different and unique, I call it hot chocolate with marshmallows.
Katie's 18 but only a couple of months older than me. She was born in September I was born in November. I remember my mother telling me stories about how she would go shopping for baby clothes and things with her sister when they were both pregnant.
My mom died when I was 9 and Sarah, my aunt and Katie's mom left without a word 2 weeks later. Katie lived with her father until he left her at 15, for the life of gambling and alcohol. This was around the time I came to live with her anyway, and she had her friends, so she wasn't alone for long.
We're all about to be seniors now. We kind of run the school, everyone listens to us and no one gets in our way. That's just how we like it.
"Katie I'm going for a run." I looked over at her as she turned around, holding a rather large mug. I tried not to laugh seeing the many marshmallows that were about to fall out of the mug. Was there even any hot chocolate in there or is it just a mug full of marshmallows?
She quickly put her mug down and ran towards the fridge. "Ohh do me a favour and pick up these groceries on your way home." She took a piece of paper from under a magnet on the fridge.
I quickly turned around hastily walking out of the kitchen as she made her way towards me. "Do it yourself Katie!" I heard the distant chuckles of our friends as I left the house. I do love Katie but sometimes she can be slightly annoying.
I start running down the street, regretting that I didn't bring my sunglasses when the sun shone straight into my eyes. I ran my usual route when I decided for the first time to extend it. I carried on running, when I heard noises around the corner. I came to a stop and leaned up against the wall to catch my breath.
I slowly peered around the corner and my eyes landed on two boys from the rival gang. Chad and Logan. I slowly stepped back not wanting to get into a confrontation with them, which doesn't go very well for me when I stepped right back into something big but kind of muscly. I stopped to think what it was for a second when I heard a low chuckle erupt from the item in question.
I spun around, my eyes locking with dark green ones. He stared straight back at me as he spoke in what seemed to be his version of a threatening voice.
"Jade..what are you doing in my territory?" I almost laughed at that. Like seriously were not werewolves. Territory? Okay then...
Before I could come up with a sarcastic comment he pushed me back so that I was back by the wall again. I looked down at my feet, making sure I don't trip over anything as I stumbled back. I looked back up and this time all three of them were standing infront of me. Chad, Logan and James, the leader of one of the many rival gangs in San Diego.
"Jade you're trespassing. We agreed with your leader that we will stay in our land and you stay on yours." Okay this time I actually did laugh. His 'threatening' posture and voice was actually quite amusing.
"Okay, I'll tell my werewolf friends that I'm staying away from your sacred land." I chuckled as I turned around and started walking back towards 'our land', laughing a little as I passed their shocked, yet angry faces. I could tell James already had something planning in his head okay maybe I shouldn't have said that to the leader...
~Blaze's POV~
One week. One week till senior year and one week till the biggest party of the year. The welcome back party held at the gang house. Anyone who is a somebody goes to this party. It happens on the first day back, every year. The cheerleaders, the gang, the jocks, basically all the popular people.
Earlier our leader Marcos told me there's word on the street that there's a tough new gang in LA. Apparently they moved from San Diego. Pfft, if they think they're going to be the best gang in LA they're wrong. My gang has already filled that position and we're not going down without a fight. But I guess we'll see.
"Dude, how many hot chicks do you think are starting next week?" Aidan asked with a smirk. All he thinks about is girls. We were all chilling in the games room in the gang house while the rest of the guys from the gang were out doing a round of the area, making sure there's no..unwanted guests around.
I laughed. "Who cares bro? We're seniors now bitches!" We all laughed at this. Well 'all' of us being; me, Hunter, Aidan, Preston and Justin. We're still bestfriends and closer than ever. I consider these boys my family, we protect each other through everything.
No ones gonna mess with us. Not even this new gang. We're still the Bad Boys.I leaned back into the couch, my mind travelling back over the last three years of high school. Freshman year started off crap with that girl..I'm just going to pretend I can't remember her name, but the rest of high school was perfect.
During Sophomore and junior year, the Bad Boys ran Lakeview high. After I left that girl, and became a 'Bad Boy', everything fell into place. I've got the girls falling at my feet,I'm part of the biggest gang in California, and everyone respects me. I'm at the top, and nothing and no ones going to change that.
Sorry it's a bit short..and nothing really happened. I was asked to update quite a bit so I have, but the exciting bit is coming soon!
