If the next few chapters look like the messiest, most rushed, and most terrible chapters you've ever seen in the history of storytelling, please forgive me lmfao, I just want to get to the fun part already.

Chapter 07: Caught you

Four teenagers were perched atop a tall tree and hidden from view by the thick foliage. They had been quiet for a while, but that silence was disrupted when the second eldest of the small group suddenly hissed, swatting a branch that kept brushing against his face.
"Just so you know, you're going to get me killed one day," Neteyam narrows his eyes in annoyance.
"Don't be such a crybaby," Lo'ak rolled his eyes. "You're the one who insisted on coming."
"Yeah, 'cause if you don't get me killed, you'll just end up getting someone else dead," Neteyam scolded, frustrated that his younger brother always got himself into unnecessary trouble.
"Second that," Spider grumbled, almost equally annoyed. Lo'ak had basically kidnapped him and dragged him on a mission in the middle of the night in hopes of finding the mysterious white-haired human girl in the woods. It was only supposed to be the two of them until Neteyam caught them sneaking out, and since he wasn't able to change the boy's mind about the stupid idea, he insisted on tagging along to make sure they stayed out of trouble. Now they were all perched on a tree, keeping watch for any movement so they could catch their little trespasser by surprise.
"We've been sitting here in these stupid trees for hours. No one is coming," Kiri complained with a yawn.
Kiri was also there. She knew about the girl Lo'ak wanted to find, and she knew everything that the scientists had told her brother after Spider basically poured his heart to her in excitement about this human who could assumedly breathe without a mask.
"Maybe she found a way to breathe without it!" That's basically all he would talk about.
Even though she would never ever admit it, she was also a little thrilled to catch the human, even if she still had some doubts about her existence.
"We just found a random and unopened box in the middle of the woods by ultimate coincidence," Lo'ak smiled sarcastically. "Someone will be coming for sure!"
