Today was wills "funeral", I was wearing a black dress mikes mom gave me. My grandma never had a funeral, she wanted to be cremated just like grandpa. Nancy did my makeup. I noticed Jennifer was crying, I hated Jennifer. Im pretty sure tons of people do but who knows. She acts like she cares about you but in reality, she never even knew your name. Maybe she did know Wills name before he went missing, who knows. But everyone knew his name now.
Dustin was making a joke about telling Will how Jennifer was crying, I wonder why. Maybe because shes a girl and is crying at a boys funeral, I don't know. Dustin sometimes say stuff without thinking.
Now we were walking in the woods on these train tracks, I have no idea. It feels like we've went in circles 7 god damn times. I was with Lucas and Dustin walking, I didn't wanna be with Mike and El. Dustin stopped and looked around, there was tons of broken down cars. It looked like a junk yard.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"We're headed back home." Dustin said as Mike and El caught up.
"What?"
"Are you sure?" Mike asked.
"Yes, I'm sure. Setting sun, right there. We looked right back around." Dustin said.
"And you're just realizing this now?"Lucas said angry.
"Why is this all on me?" Dustin asked him.
"Because you're the compass genius!"
"What do yours say?" We all checked our compass,"north."
"Makes no damn sense." Dustin sighed.
"Maybe it moved." Suggested Mike.
"I don't think it's the gate." Dustin said. "I think it's something else screwing with the compasses."
"Maybe it's something here." Suggested Mike
"No, it would have to be like a super magnet." I told Mike.
"It's not a magnet." Lucas turned to Eleven. "She has been acting weirder than normal. If she can slam doors with her mind, she can definitely screw up a compass."
"Why would she do that?" I asked.
"Because she's trying to sabotage our mission!" Lucas said. "She's a traitor!" He walked towards her.
"Lucas, what are you doing."
"You did it. Didn't you? You don't want us to reach the gate. You don't want us to find will."
"Just leave her alone, Lucas." I said.
"Admit it!" He yelled at her.
"No." She whispered weakly.
"Admit it!" Lucas yelled grabbing her sleeve. Blood. "Fresh blood. I knew it."
