We got on our bikes and road to where Steve and Robin work.
"Hey Steve."
"You see this?" Steve said.
"How many phones do you have?" I asked.
"Someone was murdered."
"How many phones do you have?" Dustin repeated louder.
"Two. Why?"
"Technically three, if you count Keith's." Robin added.
We all looked at each other. "That will work?"
"Yeah three works."
"What are you doing?" Steve asked as dustin took off his backpack and pushed it over the counter. He jumped over and knocked stuff down as Robin and Steve yelled.
"What are you doing, man?"
"Setting up base of operations here."
"Base of what? Robin asked.
"Get off, stop."
"I need it."
"For what?"
"Eddie's friends' phone numbers." Dustin answered
"Oh Eddie. Your new best friend you think is cooler than me because he plays your nerdy game?"
"Yes." Dustin said sarcastically. "I never said that."
"Seriously. You guys. 'On a Monday you can play around, like toddlers, but it's a Saturday." Robin said picking up the tapes. "Our busiest day."
"Robin, we empathize, but this cannot wait until Monday."
"Oh my God." Steve groaned.
"Because calling all Eddies friends is an emergency?"
"Correct!"
"Want me to strangle him or you want to?" Steve asked Robin.
"We could take turns."
"Can you two fill them in while I do this?" Dustin asked me and max.
"On what?"
Me and max started to explain and we got on all the phones and started to make calls while Steve tried to get a girlfriend.
"Guys, I think I found a lead." I said.
"Really?"
"Yeah. Theres this guy, Reefer Rick, a drug dealer. I know Eddie sometimes crashes at his place."
"Where does he live?" Robin asked. "Sounds promising."
"Nobody knows. He's more of a legend that someone that people actually know."
"What about a last name?" Dustin asked.
"Don't know that either."
"Bet the cops know." I joked. "What? they always gotta you know bust the fun."
