The next morning, I woke up. I worked out and practiced playing my guitar. I practiced some skateboard tricks with Max. I did some other stuff. I then showered again late at night and changed into my work uniform and put a jacket over. I got my backpack and my new skateboard and headed to the mall. I had a late shift with Robin and Steve.
"Wheres Steve?"I asked Robin.
"In the back. Working on something." Robin said. "With his child."
"Dustin is here?!" I exclaimed.
She nodded.
"Great! I have to ask him about Suzie." I said and skipped to the back. I stared at the words on the board and then at Steve and Dustin.
"Are you trying to learn Russian with a board and book..?"
They immediately paused the thing that was talking.
"No.." Dustin said. "Maybe.."
"Who is that talking?"
"Nobody." Dustin said.
"I know Russian...you know that right?" I said. Dustin stared at me,"really?" I nodded and went to the board at whatever they wrote down. It was the Abcs but like in Russian form.
"You got that wrong." I said and fixed it. I listened to the tape over and over again. I erased the board and started to write what they were saying in Russian. I left spaces so I could write underneath what they meant in English. "The week is long." I said and wrote it. "The silver cat feeds..?"
"When blue meets yellow.." I said and added it to the board. "In the West."
"What?"
Now we were closing up the icecream parlor, the mall was dark and only a few lights, we were the only people inside.
"How can that be right?" Steve asked. "Are you sure it's correct?"
"Yes, it is."
"It's right." Agreed Robin.
"Honestly, I think this is great news." Dustin said.
"How? How could this possibly be great news?" asked Steve. "I mean, so much for being America superheroes. Total Nonsense."
"It's too specific. It's obviously a code." Dustin said
