We all looked down to see a slimy creature.
"what the hell is that?" I cringed.
"His name is d'Artagnan." Dustin says, reaching into the box. "Cute right?"
Mike repeated its name.
"Dart for short," Dustin says.
"And he was in your trash? Foraging for food?" I asked.
"Either of you wanna hold him?" Dustin asked me and Max.
"God no."
"No, no."
"He doesn't bite." Dustin slipped it into my hand.
It was slimy and ew, "Oh God, it's gooey" i passed it over to Max and she gave it to Lucas. Lucas handed it over to Will, we all cringed. Will handed it to Mike, Mike brought it to his face, "what is he?"
"My question exactly!" Dustin smiled. He grabbed books and slammed it on the table, starting to explain. He thought it was pollywog, a tadpole. But Dart isn't aquatic. He started naming some of the species that were not aquatic but they weren't from here.
"It looks like something is moving inside of it.." Mike says. Mike shines the light on it and it starts to screech. We all gasp as it tries to escape, dustin catches it and comforts it.
We talk some more about what we think it is, I glance at Will, he doesn't look okay. Then the bell rings and we have to go to our next class.
The others walked in front of Will and I. "You okay?"
He stared at me, I knew he wasn't. I shouldn't of asked.
"What's wrong?" I asked. "Talk to me, Will."
"After class." He whispered.
"Okay," I said. After class, I went find Will and he explained. I immediately started to run to Mr Clarkes class, I swung open the door, "stop!"
"Sorry, this is all a stupid prank and I was telling them they shouldn't but they didn't listen! Have a great day!" I grabbed the box and ran, "come on! We need to go! Now!" They all ran after me, went ran back into the room, not letting Max in.

"What do you not understand?" I asked.
"Will saw something that looked like Dart?" Lucas asked, curious.
"Kind of, but there was no tail." Will said.
"And then he heard it yesterday. The exact same sound." I said.
"Why didn't you tell us before?" Dustin asked.
"I wasn't sure." Will said
"So it's a coincidence."
"Or not". Mike said. "What if when Will was stuck in the Upside Down, he somehow acquired True Sight?"
