Josh's POV

I put my shoes on the way to the door. My mom was rushing me to get to the store. I was never quick enough it seemed like. She was in desperate need of an ingredient my father used up.

I hurried out the door and got in the car. I pulled out, driving down our local roads. I was going a bit faster than usual.

I continued forward to a stop sign that had a car with its turn signal on. I had no intent on stopping, they didn't look like they were going to go anyways.

Until I had to, unless I wanted to wreck the car, of course. The car that had been waiting, started to pull infront of me as I reached the intersection.

We both slammed our brakes and horns because of the other. The girl in the other car immediately flipped me off while still honking her horn. I couldn't see her fully, she had on sunglasses, and the bright sun was shining down on us.

I flipped her off too, and a few words of my choice. She continued to flip me off as she took her right of way. I rolled my eyes and continued on with my day.

There was a knock on the door, which left me slightly confused. Nobody mentioned anyone coming over. I opened the door to see a girl at the door.

A beautiful girl.

She looked at me with a wide mouth for a moment, but that only lasted a quick second.

"You're the idiot from the intersection!" She spat out, scaring me a bit. I looked at her closer, the now familiar face that was cussing at me.

"Why didn't you wait?" I spat back.

"It was a 4-way stop! You were supposed to stop!" She said pointing her finger at me.

"You had been waiting for an hour before I even got there!"

"I was adjusting my mirror! You could've killed me, you were practically—"

"Oh, hi, Lennie." Jake said from behind me.

"Lennie?" I repeated, shocked.

"Oh, hi, Jake." Lennie said, looking beyond me.

"You're Lennie..." I said, again.

"Josh, leave her alone. Cmon Lennie." Ronnie said. Lennie brushed past me towards Ronnie. I watched her leave the room silently. She began to tell Ronnie of our interaction before she was out of earshot.

"You're a genius." Jake said.

"How was I to know?" I asked suddenly feeling very stupid. I totally screwed that up.

"Maybe, don't start arguing with a girl who showed up at your doorstep." Jake said.

"She started it!" I defended. She just started yelling at me.

"You're an idiot." Jake said walking away from me.

"That's exactly what she said!" I called as he disappeared. I groaned as I fell onto the couch. This was great.

3rd Person POV

Lennie and Ronnie conversed in her room for what seemed like forever. They talked about random things, Lennie was finally getting comfortable.

"I still can't believe your brother about killed me." Lennie said.

"He about kills me once a week. You get used to it." She said. "I still think it's hilarious you started yelling at him upon first sight."

"I wasn't 'yelling.' Just getting my point across." Lennie laughed.

"Either way, he looked stunned when he learned you were Lennie." Ronnie said.
