3rd Person POVLennie found herself even more nervous than usual to see Josh. She was pacing around her room, her stomach twisted up.
Josh felt about the same, feeling nervous to see her. He packed together everything he might need, double checking 40 times.
Josh waited patiently at their front door for someone to open it. He was glad Lennie was the one to open it.
"Hi." She greeted, with a tender smile.
"Hey." Josh returned the smile, wanting nothing more than to kiss her. It wouldn't be appropriate, yet, to just kiss her. "You ready to go?"
"Yup." Lennie said, excited. He walked her to her door, opening it like always. The only difference was, he didn't shut the door before sneaking a kiss. It was supposed to be a quick peck, but he lingered a bit longer.
"Sorry." He apologized, finally pulling away.
"No need to apologize." Lennie said, quickly. "Except, you might not want my dad to see you quite yet."
"You haven't told him?" Josh asked.
"No. I'm too nervous." She said. "But, mom knows."
"How'd she take it?"
"She was actually pretty pleased, I guess she saw it happening at some point." Lennie explained, feeling her cheeks warm. She wasn't used to the thought of Josh liking her back yet. And, the fact that her mom encouraged her to get with Josh, multiple times.
"Well, that's a good thing. Maybe she can convince your father I'm worthy enough." Josh joked.
"Maybe." Lennie smiled. Josh shut her door before going to his side. Lennie was examining the items in the backseat.
"I think I brought everything." Josh said. "I grabbed snacks, water, materials, a blanket, just incase. I kind of grabbed everything."
"I'm sure we'll be alright." Lennie laughed at how nervous he sounded. It made her feel a bit better knowing he was nervous too.
Josh was looking over the bluff, taking in the beauty he never seized to be amazed by. The day was especially pretty, the cold air making the view even better.
He looked over to Lennie, smiling to see her look just as amazed as him. He carefully pulled his camera to his face, and adjusting the lens on her.
He took a few pictures, Lennie looked captivating. She finally noticed Josh, and covered her face from his view.
"Oh, c'mon." Josh whined, pulling the camera away.
"No." Lennie laughed, feeling embarrassed that he got those pictures.
"You look gorgeous, honestly." He said. She rolled her eyes playfully, and went to his side.
"I love coming here." Josh said.
"It's really pretty." She said. "How do you know all these cool places?"
"Lots of time to wander around and find these places." Josh said. "Now, I can bring you with me, Jake never wants to go with me."
"Well, I love to go with you on your adventures, it's the only reason I get out of the house." Lennie smiled. Josh laughed lightly, loving the fact that she wanted to go with him.
"Can I ask you a question?" Lennie spoke up after they had been quiet for some time. They were lying out on the blanket josh brought, trying to see images in the clouds.
"Hm?"
"What took you so long to kiss me?" She spoke slowly, trying to be bold with her words.
"I'm not sure." He said. He thought about it, partially knowing why. "I guess I was worried I would loose you, like you didn't want to be with me in that way."
