3rd Person POVLennie waited for the time to tick later in the evening. She planned to head over to the Kiszka's about 6, enough time to socialize before people arrived. She was growing nervous as it got closer.
She had been thinking about Josh a lot more lately. He was always there, running around her mind. She wanted to do something, maybe hint at it. Then again, she wasn't sure where he was.
Josh had been thinking about her just as much, maybe even more. He knew the party left opportunities, but didn't know how much he wanted her to know. Whatever Lennie was, was special to him. He felt bored not being around her. The moment she left, he felt her absence. He was looking forward to seeing her for most of the night, possibly into the morning.
Lennie made her way across the street to their house. She knocked on the door excited to see them. Josh was the one to open the door, eager to see who came first.
"Lennie." He breathed.
"Josh." She smiled.
"You look amazing." He said.
"Did it just for you." She blurted. She regretted saying it before she could process it.
"Oh, really?" He smirked. "I must be one lucky guy then."
"Hey, Lennie!" Jake said from behind Josh.
"Hi, Jake." She smiled. Josh opened the door fully, allowing her to enter. She walked in, he couldn't help but look at her. She looked amazing.
"Is Ronnie in her room?" Lennie asked.
"She's in the garage, setting up." Jake said. Lennie headed off in the direction of Ronnie.
"Why are you a lucky guy?" Jake asked, only having heard the last moment of the conversation.
"No reason." Josh smiled innocently.
Josh had been attending to his hostess job as more people arrived. By that he meant preparing liquor and smoking materials.
"Hi." Lennie said coming up behind Josh.
"Why, hello." Josh smiled goofy. He offered her the blunt burning in his hand. She accepted it and took a draw. He hadn't thought about the fact she could've been against smoking. Good thing she wasn't.
"Are you enjoying the party?" Josh asked.
"Yes, it is very nice." She said.
"Have you got something to drink yet?"
"No." She said.
"Why not?" Josh asked confused.
"I don't drink much, I'm not sure what I like to be honest." She admitted. She wasn't big on drinking, so she had literally no idea what she preferred. She was kind of hoping somebody would help her eventually.
"Well, would you like some recommendations?" Josh asked.
"I would like that." Lennie smiled. Josh pushed himself off the couch and grabbed Lennie's hand. They had to do this cute walk considering the were divided by a couch, and trying to hold hands. Josh loved to use any excuse to hold her hand. Lennie also didn't mind, so she was never opposed the idea.
"Okay, let's see." Josh said as they arrived at the 'bar.' He had to let go of her hand to serve a drink. He made her a drink to the best of his knowledge. She took a drink and looked a little surprised.
"Is it strong?" He asked.
"Just a little." She said. "But it's good." He smiled, proud of himself.
"So, I'll see you later?" Lennie asked. He wouldn't of minded to just hangout with her, but knew that wouldn't work.
