Lennie's POV

I drove behind Josh on the way to school. Lacey rambled on and on about her nerves. I was just as nervous as her, but at least I had the Kiszka's. She barely had Sammy.

I pulled into the space across from Josh in the parking lot. We waited in the car for the time to get closer.

"This is your physics class, Mr. Keegan." The counselor walked me to the door. I hoped Lacey wasn't feeling as terrible as me right now.

The door opened, revealing the class. Almost everyone turned around to look at me. I wanted to die.

"This is Lennie Meeks, a new student." The counselor announced to my teacher.

"Hi, Lennie. I'm Mr. Keegan, you can take a seat anywhere." The teacher waved from across the room. I made my way to a empty spot, feeling like I was about to throw up.

"Hey." I looked to the voice talking to me. "You're Ronnie's friend, right?"

"Uh, yeah." I nodded, making sure to smile.

"Yeah, she's told us about you a lot." The girl said. "I'm Tess Norman, I've been friends with Ron forever."

"Lennie Meeks." I smiled. "And I think she's mentioned you before too."

I searched the halls to find Josh, he said he'd find me after my class. We had the same fourth period. I had my last class with Jake, and my second period had Ronnie in it.

I was minding myself, when someone grabbed my shoulders. I jumped, obviously, only making the perpetrator laugh. I knew it was Josh from the first sound.

"Sorry, I took a moment, one of my friends didn't want to stop talking." He apologized.

"It's okay. I felt weird waiting here though."

"You're fine." He said, causing me to playfully roll my eyes. "So, how's your first day going?"

"It's alright. I got to sit by Jake last period. The first two aren't bad, just slow." I said. "I wish I had more classes with you guys."

"Want me to get a schedule change?" He said.

"Yes, please." I begged. I would love that actually. We walked for a moment in silence, I took in the school hallways, making sure to remember.

"You'll like this guy." Josh said.

"Is he nice?"

"Not really, but he's funny." Josh shrugged. I wasn't sure what this class was, I was relying on Josh.

That was the best class so far, I loved having Josh with me. I had been so nervous in all my classes, thank god for him.

I looked around the classroom for a seat, spotting a spot with two open ones. I found myself a seat, glad nobody was next to me.

That didn't last very long until a boy found the seat beside me. I stole glances, trying to see if I had maybe saw him before. I also didn't want to get caught looking.

"Hey." He said. I felt very nervous to look to this boy.

"Hi."

"Are you the new girl?" He asked.

"Yeah." I smiled.

"Cool." He smiled. "I'm Jay Dalton."

"Lennie Meeks." I said. We talked a little, keeping a small conversation until the class started. I liked the fact that I had someone new to talk to. And, he was kind of attractive, but I liked Josh. I liked Josh so much, I wasn't sure I could like someone else.
