Josh's POV

I sat in the living room with Sammy, watching some reality show. I wasn't really paying attention, so it didn't matter.

Ronnie came into the living room while attempting to put shoes on her feet.

"You going somewhere today?" I asked.

"Yes."

"...where?" I asked after she didn't care to explain any further.

"Well, I'm going to hangout with your favorite person." Ronnie said.

"Who would that be?" I asked, still confused.

"Are you dumb?" She asked. I silently looked at her, meaning I wasn't guessing anytime soon. "Lennie."

"Oh." I said.

"Jake's coming with us." Ronnie added.

"Jake's going?" I repeated.

"Yes, Josh." Ronnie said. "Would you like to go with us too?"

I sat for a moment to delay my answer. I knew my answer. "I mean, I can tag along."

"If you don't wanna go, I'm perfectly fine with taking just Jake,—"

"No, I mean, I want to go." I said quickly. I sounded desperate, but I didn't care too much. I just wanted to see Lennie, even if it's with other people.

I sat in the passenger seat next to Jake. We pulled into Lennie's driveway and waited. She came out smiling excitedly. She looked to me in the passenger seat, and looked a little confused, but still smile to me.

She climbed in the seat behind Jake.

"Hi, guys!" She said. We all said some form of 'hey,' and we pulled out. I looked back to her to see how she looked. She looked good, of course, I was just curious. She smiled at me, I couldn't help but return it. Her smile was so beautiful, the dimple in her cheek poking through.

We drove around for a while, I wasn't sure where we were going. We occupied the time by talking, or if a good song came on, I tried to get Jake to sing with me. Lennie seemed to enjoy when I sang, she kept laughing at me.

We ended up at this place called 'Woody's.' It was a neat little place, we came here a lot. It was a really huge store, kind of like walmart and target, but in a boho way.

Ronnie and Jake led the way infront of Lennie and I. They were discussing what they were going to look for. Ronnie engaged Lennie in the conversation, but not me, of course. We had walked around the store for 10 minutes or so, but I was already getting bored.

We were getting close to a break in the aisles when I got an idea. We were almost there when I slipped my hand into Lennie's. She looked at me confused, I put my finger to my lips, signaling to be quiet.

I pulled her away from Ronnie and Jake as the aisles divided. Ronnie and Jake continued to talk and walk ahead, not noticing us disappearing.

"Josh, what are we doing?" Lennie whispered as I continued to pull her away.

"I was getting bored." I said. I hadn't let go of her hand yet, on purpose. We made it a safe distance, and I slowed down our pace.

I spotted something that looked intriguing, I didn't think about it until after I let go of her hand. I lost that leverage I had. She followed me to look at the assorted art.

"Why did we leave them, again?" She asked.

"I was getting bored of them talking." I said. I looked to her as she picked through the pictures. I liked the way her hair fell in her face, it looked peaceful. I wish I had my camera, so I could take a picture of the way it looked.
