Chapter 7 Survival Of The Fittest.

Rimuru is on his way to the main branch of Hunter Office, The Kugamayama building. This is the building that's been integrated into the wall.

It served as a checkpoint connecting the inner and outer parts of the city and was a very important building for the city.

There was a Hunter office inside that building and it handled a different kind of function compared to the Hunter Office where Rimuru applied as a Hunter.

It was an office that managed all the Hunter activities all around Kugayama City.

Now that I'm here it looks really impressive and intimidating.

{There are different purposes of this master, one of which is the Hunter Office to those official and high-ranking Hunters.}

Yeah, well I guess soon I'll be frequently coming here.

I step inside and a huge hall welcomes me, there are Hunters everywhere!

Some of them carry guns bigger than their own body.
Some of them were using highly enhancing clothes and some even had metallic skin, a common trait of cyborgs.

Some use nanomachines to enchant their bodies.

'Hahaha now, this is what makes a sci-fi world, now that I saw this, I guess I can cross that off the list.'

I walk towards the beautiful receptionist that I saw without paying any attention to the Hunters around, some of them are looking at me.

Maybe because Ciel has already removed the illusion that covers my face or maybe because a kid like me is here.

Rimuru: "I was told to show this when I get here..."

The receptionist who welcomed me with a smile was shaken when she saw the card that I gave, it was just a few seconds but she regained her composure after that.

She then took the card and used the terminal to read it.

Receptionist: "Please let me confirm, are you Rimuru-sama?"

Rimuru: "Yes that's me."

I answered with a smile, the receptionist didn't say anything and just stared at my face while having a blush on her face.

Rimuru: "Is something wrong?"

Receptionist: "E-Eh? Ah! I'm sorry, ahem! Rimuru-sama, first of all, congratulations on your promotion to a 10th rank hunter."

Oh boy, no matter how many times I do that it's still funny to see their reactions like that.

Yeah, I know because I already experienced it many times. But it still never gets boring.

The receptionist keeps talking about the rules and such about the Hunter Office and what to do to rank ups, benefits you can have, and such.
