Chapter 22 Thieves in Underground City and an Agent?

It's already the 4th day of the request. Rimuru decided to spend 3 days on the Exploration Team together with Elena, Sara and Shikarabe.

The exploration goes without a problem. And they were already on their way back to the Defensive point 19.

But Shikarabe receives a call from the Drankam.

Elena: "Shikarabe, what is it?"

Shikarabe: "I'm sorry but I won't be able to join you on the next expedition. There's trouble in Drankam."

Elena: "I see. Alright, we'll just see what we can do without you then."

After that, they arrived back at Defensive Point 19. Shikarabe was about to leave the team when he received notice to bring Rimuru with him.

He frowns and asks for a reason but they won't say.

'They fuck they want with him? Is it because of what happened between Shiori and Rimuru? Nah... Shiori's not the type to blabber something like that...'

Shikarabe: "Rimuru, do you have some time after this? You're already done with your shift right?"

Rimuru: "Yeah, why?"

Shikarabe: "I want you to come with me to the Drankam station."

Rimuru: "... Shikarabe. I thought I already told you that I don't want to join your gang."

Shikarabe: "I already know that. My order is to bring you with me, I don't know what they want but don't worry if they do something I'll step in to stop them."

Elena: "... Shikarabe. Make sure your gang won't do something or force something on Rimuru, okay?"

Shikarabe: "I already know that... And also it's not like I can force this guy to join anyway."

Rimuru: "Well, don't worry Elena, Sara. Although I don't know what they want from me, Shikarabe will be there and he already gives his word anyway."

Elena: "... All right. If any troubles come up just call us, okay? And be careful."

Rimuru: "Thanks. We'll get going now."

Shikarabe looks at Rimuru with a complicated expression. He doesn't want to become an enemy of Rimuru.

All the members saw Shikarabe together with Rimuru. Knowing that Shikarabe hates the young'uns in the Drankam it's surprising that he was walking together with another kid at the same pace.

Arabe: "Hey, Shikarabe. I'm sorry for giving you trouble, Is this him?"

Shikarabe: "Yeah this is Rimuru that I talked to you about before. But before that, explain why you want Rimuru here."

Shikarabe tried to signal Arabe to explain himself properly or else there'll be trouble later.

Arabe: "Well, first calm down. In the first place, it's not me who requested his presence here. It's Shiori."

Shikarabe: "Shiori? Why that woman?"

Arabe: "It'll be better if you met her right away and hear the request directly from her."

Rimuru decided to speak cause it seems like it's already been decided that he would take the request they were talking about.

Rimuru: "Well, sorry to burst your bubble but why are you talking like it is already a given that I'll accept your request? I'm only here because Shikarabe asks me, but if you're going to impose a request on me then I'm out."
