Chapter 3 A New Storm.

Exchange Centre of the Branch Hunter Office. There were several Exchange Centres inside and outside the City.

Depending on the place where you exchange your relic, the value of that relic might change.

The Exchange Centres integrated into the defensive wall mostly served First-Class Hunters.

Thus, those places are always filled with valuable relics. The competition between companies for such relics drives the price higher and higher.

It also served as a checkpoint that manages a checkpoint between the inner and outer walls.

The Exchange Centre Branch that Rimuru is going to is located in the lower district close to the slum.

Most of the people who come here are new Hunters and people from the slum.

It has the worst rate of all the Exchange Centres. People used to come here bringing things that can't even be categorized as cheap relics.

As time passed, the place that only bought relics turned into a shop that would buy almost everything. It became an important place for people in the slum as it was one of their only sources of income.

3rd POV

After Rimuru finishes everything, he teleports back to the base he's been using for 2 years.

He doesn't want to walk past the Ruins back to the Slum, he sees something outside when he uses Universal Perception.

A big monster ran chasing the Hunters out and a giant Mechanical Monster killed some of the Hunters in other areas.

Rimuru could kill it if he used his sword but he doesn't want to do that. He came into this world because of guns, and an augmented suit, if there's a sword he would use it if it's from this world.

Rimuru takes out the sealed relics he stored and separates those he can sell and those that he can use when he starts his Hunter life.

He saw some of the sealed relics: 5 trump cards, 3 notebooks, 5 food preservation boxes, 3 different kinds of bags, an Old-World terminal 30 of them, and other utensils for everyday life... And Old-World clothes, handkerchiefs, and underwear.

He saw some risqué underwear thinking if there are people who would wear it in this civilization.

And some clothes are more or less of the same quality as Shuna though the design is a bit different. The difference is that some of these clothes can be used as or alternative to using an Augmented Suit.

Considering that this is from the Old World this may be preferable to the Augmented Suit for sale in this world.

He takes out other relics that aren't sealed and spreads them out, he doesn't know any use for them so he decides these will be the things that he's going to sell.

'I wonder how much I'm gonna earn with these relics I have here.'

Rimuru POV

I'm on my way to the Exchange Center in the lower district near the slum. I didn't expect to get that big money considering the reputation of this Exchange Centre but I'm not gonna stay put if I received a small amount either.

I opened the door and just as last time, that Nojima guy was the one standing behind the counter.

I walked directly towards the desk where Nojima was and placed the relics that I bought after checking back at the base.

Rimuru: "Hey! I know you noticed me so don't act like you didn't see me!"

Nojima: "Haha Sorry about that, I thought another kid from the slum came again. So, it's you huh? Let me check a bit."
