Chapter 17 Frontline Temporary Base.

Yumina and Rimuru woke up so early in the morning.

After their activity, they took a bath and talked about the situation in the Drankam and how they were going to accept requests for Kugamayama City to build a front-line base outside Kuzusuhara Ruin.

Rimuru: "I see. They're planning on constructing the base to create a communication line into the deeper part of the ruin."

Yumina: "Yes, to effectively explore the deeper part of the Kuzusuhara Ruin they needed to do all those preparations."

Rimuru: "I see, exploring a ruin would accelerate the development and bring profit to the city. I guess all the requests in the Hunters Office will focus on this."

Yumina: "Are you going to take some requests today too?"

Rimuru: "Yeah, I needed some money too after all."

Yumina: "I see. I guess I'll see you there later again then."

Rimuru: "You know you can't interact with me, right?"

Yumina: "Can't we just create a situation for us to interact?"

Rimuru: "That'll be hard, we'll be getting a lot of attention if that were to happen."

Yumina: "I-I see. I want us to be together if possible."

Rimuru: "If you want that to happen, save some money just in case something happens. I don't know what the Drankam would think, so it'll be better to be ready."

Yumina: "Really!? Okay, I already made a separate account anyway!"

After that Rimuru only sees Yumina at the door and she returns to the Drankam base.

Rimuru arrives at the Kuzusuhara Ruins front line construction base with his bike.

The request consists of protecting the workers and securing the area. Rimuru was listening to the explanation inside the base.

Staff: "We'll give you our instructions through this terminal. This terminal also contains a transmitter so you can check the other Hunter's whereabouts. So, be careful not to mistake another Hunter for a monster and shoot each other. Also though we're in a Ruin, refrain from searching for relics. I won't tell you as far as to not take any relics that you accidentally find but we're not here to gather relics... Finally, there should be a number behind the terminal, we will call you based on that number. That's all, you may go to the ruins once you finish your preparation, you just need to follow the map's navigation in the terminal."

Rimuru followed the navigation from the terminal, he arrived at an opening surrounded by countless crumbling buildings. He pulled into the terminal to answer his phone call.

[This is A2 Division HQ. Number 18 can you hear me?]

Rimuru: "This is number 18, I can hear you."

[Take control of the building in front of you. Explore and make a map out of that building, don't forget to take out any monsters that you find. The terminal has an auto-mapping function, so you just need to check all the rooms inside that building. There's also a good chance that if you leave a corpse of dead monsters they might attract other monsters. I know it's a pain in the ass, but carry them to the building entrance.]

Rimuru: "And if they're too big or too heavy for me to carry?"

[In that case, let us know and we'll send a special team to help you.]

Rimuru: "Roger that."

Rimuru explores all the buildings he is assigned to in a timely 1 and a half hours up to 2 at most. After finishing all the mapping his navigation led him back to the temporary base.
