Chapter 25 Battle Record's Worth

After arriving in the city, Rimuru followed Kibayashi, who was in a good mood, to the hospital to check on his injuries.

Though all his equipment needed to be confiscated, Rimuru gave it to them without a second thought thinking it was time for him to use an augmented suit.

He needed to stay at the hospital for a few days despite not being gravely injured, the City Government still needed to interrogate Nelia to completely convince them that he is proven innocent.

Rimuru POV

'It's already been three days since I've been here. I'm bored as fuck! I'm sure Sheryl's in a panic state right now since I lost all my contact with her.'

Suddenly the door slid open and Kibayashi came in.

Kibayashi: "How are you doing?"

Rimuru: "Do you need to ask? I'm bored to death here. Are you still not done?"

Kibayashi: "We're already done. Now, I'm here to negotiate but first, let me tell you the situation."

'Not like I needed to know since I'm keeping an eye on the people within the hospital and on Nelia too.'

After reading the situation to Rimuru it's been confirmed that he is innocent considering how Nelia was being cooperative.

Kibayashi: "In truth, it's a bit suspicious how cooperative she was with us. What do you think she said? She said she's not the type to stay in the past."

Rimuru: "I guess there are some people like that. How carefree."

Kibayashi: "Well, thanks to that you won't be stuck here anymore. Here read this Rimuru, this'll be the debt you currently hold."

It's shown on the papers all kinds of payments and treatment that they've done to Rimuru. 15 million Aurum in total.

Kibayashi: "I know you're going to complain considering you weren't that gravely injured but I'm warning you there's no point."

Rimuru: "... So? I'm sure this is not the one you're going to give me considering you're here to negotiate with me."

Kibayashi: "Yeah, if you're going to accept my deal we'll take care of the payment and not only that, we'll pay you 200 million Aurum."

Seeing Kibayashi's confident smile. Rimuru also returned it with a sly smile plastered on his face.

Rimuru: "Let me hear it first."

Kibayashi then explains that they want to buy his last battle records and forge another one to erase the mistake the City Government made.

And of course, Rimuru is not allowed to tell anyone about it. He needed to agree to a confidentiality clause with the deal.

Rimuru: "If that's the case then it's fine with me. I also don't want any trouble with the City Government. Also, I can have another absurd battle record whenever I want to."

Hearing this Kibayashi couldn't hold his laughter as he leaned closer to Rimuru.

Kibayashi: "That's right! You're strong enough to do that! The record that you defeated them by yourself when they had reinforced armoured tanks! You don't care about these things huh? Any other Hunter would die if they had to renounce these feats."

Rimuru: "Don't talk like I'm like them. My actions were already out of common sense since I'm stronger than my peers. Also, the more I fight, the more I grow. That's just it."
