Rimuru spends his 2 years in the Slum City gathering information on what's going on on the inside, who are the leaders, what are the certain rules, how to enter a gang, about the ruins and monsters, etc.,

But still, his 2 years are not that peaceful. He spent the first 3 months spreading his seed for chaos. And met interesting people.

And some idiots tried to pick a fight with him and those idiots didn't end up well for them.

He tried to move his body to test how much strength he needed to use to beat a human and a monster.

Well, the kids in the slum are no match for him since he knows how to fight, same for adults too. He also got a gun because of the adults he beat up the other day.

Rimuru POV

Those idiots never learn, maybe I should kill more of them so that they won't bother me again.

{You can do that too, master. But right now you still have something to do right?}

'Ah! That's right, I need to go to the Hunters Office to register myself as a hunter. I already spent 2 years here! It's time for me to get out of this place!'

Okay, Ciel! So where to go again? I know there's a Hunter Office near the border but I forgot.

{Seriously master you need to remember the place you've been through you know.}

Hehehe sorry, I just can't remember it knowing you're here with me.

{Yeah, stop with the flattery, let's go now or we will be there till sunset.}

That'll be bad, let's go now, Ciel.

I started running out of the building to the Hunter office near the wall inside Kugamayama City.

It feels like I'm back from the 1800s in England with this kind of building.

I entered the building and all the Hunters turned their heads to me.

They may look intimidating but it doesn't matter to me if I use my full power and experience in a fight, they're still weak to me.

I walk toward the receptionist's desk.

The receptionist looks at me for a while before going back to what he's doing.

Receptionist: "What do you want, kid?"

Rimuru: "I want to register as a Hunter."

Receptionist: "...Just give up. You won't survive in the Kuzusuhara Ruins with that get-up of yours. You don't even have any weapons, just stay in the corner of the slum city and stop dreaming big."

Random Guy 1: "You're only going to serve yourself to the monster out there. Hahaha

Random Guy 2: "Why don't you just sit in the corner of the slums and be a good boy there? Hahaha

{Master...}

Stop it, Ciel, we're here to register not to pick a fight.

Rimuru: "That's for me and fate to decide. You can't just decide a person's fate without knowing their capabilities. Hunters won't become one if they're afraid to risk their lives in the wasteland or the ruins. Am I wrong?"

The Hunters who heard the statement started laughing.

A kid who is from a slum city suddenly talks about fate and capabilities when they don't have anything on their hands.

But the receptionist who heard it just stared at Rimuru and thought 'Well this kid is not right but not wrong either, a hunter's job is to gamble your own life in the ruins and get money to survive, get out of the situation in this slum or just want adventure for adrenaline... heh. Interesting, let's see if you can survive a day in the ruins, you infant.'
