Mizuki's POV
"Kokatsu, wake up."
"......She's asleep....."
"I can see that. Kokatsu, wake up!"
Two voices.
One quieter, as if he were farther away.
"I don't think just saying 'wake up' is going to work."
"Hit her."
"No, I'm not gonna slap her again!"
"Ngh.... stop arguing.... I'm trying to get some sleep....."
I lazily waved my hand in the air without opening my eyes. The words left my mouth before I was even aware that I was speaking.
"Kokatsu, please wake up. It is important."
"It can wait," I groaned, "Go back to bed."
Suddenly the light in my room flicked on. I shielded my eyes from the sudden brightness.
After a few seconds passed, I removed my hands and looked down at who was trying to wake me up.
It was just Monokuma.
Wait. There's something wrong with this picture.
Monokuma is in my room!
I yelped and shot up in bed, at full attention.
"And that is how you wake someone up without slapping them!" the male voice said.
"Was I not perfectly clear that once she was awake, you were to stop talking?"
"....."
I looked around for the second Monokuma where the other voice was coming from, but there was only the one on my bed.
"Kokatsu, there is something important I must discuss with you."
"Monokuma.....?" I said, "What.... happened to your voice?"
He was silent for a moment.
"Would you prefer I speak in Monokuma's voice?" he said, returning to his regular voice.
"No! No, no, definitely not!" I said.
"I suspected as much."
And then he was speaking in the woman's voice again.
I looked up at the clock in my room. It's three in the morning!?
"Is everyone else awake?" I asked.
"No. Just you."
"Why?"
"I was getting to that. Please, follow me."
He-- she-- it? It moved towards the door and waited for me to get out of bed.
