Sara was confused upon realizing where i took her. "Isn't this the house of the Reids?"
"It is." I nodded before stepping out of the car. I picked Aaron up from the backseat before stepping out of the car and made my way towards his front door, wishing he was home. However, the guard stopped me. "Where do you think you're going?"
"I need to see Asher." I stated, holding my hand high.
He chuckled before shaking his head, "He is busy."
"Tell him Katherine is here to see him." I sighed, making his eyes widen slightly. He immediately took out his phone and started typing someone before stepping aside. "You can go inside. Make yourselves home in the living room only."
Nodding, i went inside along with Sara and Aaron who was on my hips. The house was exactly like it was the last time i came here. Clean.
"What the f-" She stopped, looking at
My brother, knowing she shouldn't be cussing in front of a 2 year old. "Is going on here? How are we here? How, why what?" Sara ranted."Sit." I gestured to the white couch which was way too clean and arranged to mess up but, We had to sit. "It's a long story." I said once i sat down as well, placing Aaron next to me.
"We wait for Asher now?" Sara asked, taking out her phone. I nodded before playing with my brother's brown hair, making him smile at me.
"You know, when the guard told me you were here, i didn't want to believe him." Approaching footsteps and a voice coming from upstairs spoke. Sara and i both turned to look at the source, Asher along with Bash and Theo with grinning faces descended the stairs.
"But turns out, I was right to.""Katherine." Bash squealed, a huge grin on his face as he rushed to hug me. A gesture which I returned. All three man stood in front of Sara, Aaron and myself. Their confused look with my plus ones made me explain. "This is Sara, my best friend and this is my brother, Aaron."
"Phew," Theo flicked away some non existent sweat. "I thought he was your child."
"I see you made yourselves home." Asher remarked, shaking his head with a smirk.
"We were told to." I shrugged. Bash immediately took a seat next to me after greeting Sara and so did Theo. He picked up Aaron and placed him on his lap. The latter immediately started crying which earned Bash a smack on his head from Asher. "The child doesn't like you." He then proceeded to take him from Bash's lap, ignoring the frown he made, before placing him on his own as he sat on the single couch in front of me. The same one he sat on last time. Aaron stopped crying and started playing with his hands, his rings.
"So, Katherine, to what do we owe the pleasure?""My parents got kidnapped." I stated, earning their complete attentions. His complete attention. "Are you hurt?" He questioned, eyeing me. I shook my hear 'No', making him nod. "Good."
"I wasn't here when it happened." I explained further. "I went to their place and found it thrashed. Came to such conclusion considering they wouldn't left Aaron alone."
"And you need my help to find them." He pointed out, "Why?"
I cleared my throat, eyeing Sara as realization took over his features. One look at Theo and he understood the assignment. "Sara, why don't i give you a tour?"
"I would love that." Sara smiled before following Theo out of the living room.
"They are using guns and we don't have access to those or any weapons of that sort. They're most likely experienced in those type of things and we would be walking into a death trap if we do this alone." I said. He nodded in understanding before asking. "Any suspects?"
"Whoever did this, knows me and knew somehow i would be the one finding his letter. He said Aaron is next." I frowned, looking at my brother, ready to protect him from any danger. Running wasn't a solution. I just needed him to be safe.
"I'll protect him." He gave me his word. "I promise you no harm will come to this little guy as long as you stay here. Under my protection."
I wasn't even going to argue with him
About staying here. It was the best decision. I knew Aaron would be safe here and myself, under his protection."Maybe he has some sort of enmity with your parents. One that dated back then." He said, "I can't guarantee the safety of your parents."
I knew that. They could already be dead right now if anything. Im just trying not to think of the worst case scenario.
"I'll find them." He stated. "Promise."
"Promises are meant to be broken." I smiled slightly at him. He shook his head, "I don't break my promises."
"We'll have your stuff move here again then." He smirked, "I assume you know where your room is." He gestured at Aaron, "He will sleep with you?"
"Yes." I nodded. "Thank you."
"Of course." He stood up, walking towards me with Aaron. I took him from his grasp. "My parents will be here for dinner later. You should come."
"Sure." I smiled at him before making my way up to my room. "I'll have someone buy some baby stuff as well." He said behind me.
