"Hey, Asher?", i stopped him in his tracks, "Can you tell me where the gym is?"

He turned around, a smile tugging on his lips before he started walking, gesturing me to follow him. "I was headed there."

"You couldn't sleep either?", i asked, walking with him towards the gym. He shook his head, "I won't be getting any sleep until we find our parents."

"Hmm." I agreed with him, knowing damn well I will be dealing with sleepless nights until they are found. "What about tomorrow?"

"What about tomorrow?", He repeated my question before pushing a door open, revealing a ring in the middle of the room with countless gym equipments.

"Will we be okay?" I questioned, still following him. He didn't answer my question, instead, he opened a locker of sort and removed two pairs of gloves and handed one to me. "We will be. I won't let anything happen to you." He put his gloves on his hands, "Put yours on." He smirked, "You ever sparred before?"

I put mine on as well, liking where this is going. "Yes, i have."

"Good. Get in the ring." He pointed to it, "I'll go easy on you."

"That's not necessary." I smiled, tying my hair in a ponytail. "I'll be the one going easy on you."

A smirk formed on his lips, "Is that so?"

I step into the sparring ring with Asher, both of us ready to test your skills against each other for the first time. "We shall see." He smirked.

I decided to take it easy on him at first, not wanting to come on too strong. As i began to move, It was obvious that he was doing the same, trying to get a feel for my style of combat.

He waited for me to throw my first punch which is easily dodged with a smirk. He dodged my second, third and fourth as well. Noticing he isn't throwing any, i urged him. He was going way too easy on me. "Asher, hit me. At least, try."

And he did. He tried to hit me and like him, i dodged his punches. As the match progressed, we both started to get a little more aggressive. I was actually surprised at how good Asher is - he was definitely better than i expected. He was quick, agile, and had a good sense of timing. Despite my initial reservations, i couldn't help but respect his skill.

The first round went to Asher. I was a little disappointed, but i knew i wasn't done yet. I wasn't giving it my best.

"One more round." I stated, determined to win this one. He just smirked in response with a nod.

I decided to step up a bit in the second round, trying to take advantage of some of Asher's weaknesses. But like the previous round, he has managed to counter my attacks and won the second round as well. "Oh come on." I breathed as i laid in the ring.

"I told you. Im just that good." He shrugged, a smug smile playing on his lips as he held a hand out for me to take. "Again?"

"Yes." I replied, taking his hand to stand up. "I have to win."

"Okay." He caught his lips between his teeth. I shook my head, catching myself staring.

Focus, Katherine.

At this point, i realized that i needed to start studying Asher's movements more closely. I watched the way he moved, trying to anticipate his next move. The third round began and i was more than ready to give it my all.

The two of us started exchanging blows, each of us trying to gain the upper hand. It was a fierce battle, and both of were starting to get tired. We were bound to, it was the third one. I totally lost track of mine but it didn't matter right now.

I studied Asher's movements well, and I was able to land a few good hits. He groaned, making me feel bad about hitting him hard but he just smirked upon seeing the concerned look on my face. He played me.

Determined, i decided to go harder on him, seeing that he really doesn't feel any pain from my punches. "You're too small for me, princess."

"Yeah?" I caught my breath, angry that i am unable to win. He nodded, smiling. Catching him off guard, i managed to throw him on the ground. I straddled him, waiting for him to make his next move but he never did. He just laid there, accepting defeat.

"I win." I smiled, looking at him as he stared back at me. "You win."

"Yeah." I breathed earning yet another smirk from him. "I like this position."

My eyes widened at his statement and i immediately jerked away from him. But before i could get farther, he grabbed me and pushed me back in the ring, this time with me on the ground and him hovering over me. He switched our positions. "But i like this one more." He leaned to my ear and whispered.

I didn't know what to do. I didn't know how to react. I couldn't move and i didn't want to either. "Katherine." He breathed in my ear, my thighs clenching on their own for some reason. This movement seemed to get a reaction out of him. He looked at me, then my lips, then at me again.

Was he going to kiss me? I have never kissed anyone before let alone be this close to someone. I have seen enough movies to guess his next move but then again, he teased me in the bathroom earlier. What if he really was going to kiss me? Was i ready for this? Yes. Yes i was.

We were so close, so close. He kept staring at my lips then why wasn't he kissing me? Why weren't they touching yet? Does he not like me enough? Is he afraid of something?

All those questions. Why do i feel like my muscles are squeezing my heart? What is wrong with me?

He just stared at me in silence as if he is debating on whether he likes me enough to actually kiss me. But i wasn't going to stick around to find out. I couldn't do it, it kinda hurt- someone having a mental debate with themselves on whether they like you enough to do something.

Realizing that nothing is going to happen, i decided to break the silence. "Im gonna go-" My sentence was cut short when he proved me wrong, when he removed all those thoughts that was going inside my head, when he slammed his lips on mine- clearing my doubts.
